MPD Reports: Juveniles fight on school bus over alleged stolen XBOX

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incident reports for the period Jan. 26 to Feb. 1, 2018. Due to the length of this report it has been broken into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Fight Baker Street at East Spring on school bus, Complainant upset at subject for burglarizing her house stealing her XBOX.  Both beginning fighting each other, and complainant’s sister tried to break them up causing her to get hit in the face. Juveniles transported to Carver Middle and turned over to SRO.
  • Juvenile Complaint, Hickory Drive in reference to two juveniles that missed the bus needing a ride to school.  Juveniles transported to Monroe Elementary.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Highway 11 South from Just for Fun, Silver Ford Focus brandished a firearm at complainant.  Complainant meeting Walton County Sheriff’s Office at Monroe Area High School. Checked the area with negative contact on that vehicle.  
  • Suspicious Vehicle. While patrolling officer made contact with a suspicious vehicle at Carver Crossroads School.  Made contact. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle Highway 78 Eastbound at Unisia Dr. Green pickup parked in the East Bound turn lane. Vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
  • 911 Hang Up Community Court.  Made contact with employee who stated she accidentally dialed 911 trying to call out on the business phone.
  • Dispute, S Madison. Unknown F.I.S.H employee advised a dispute was going on across the street. Officer checked the area and did not see anyone in the yard disputing all appeared to be ok.
  • Dispute, W. Spring Street (Quality Foods).  Met with complainant who stated a male subject kicked his bedroom door in causing damage to the frame.  Complainant wanted a report for the landlord and advised he did not wish to press charges at this time.
  • Shoplifting, West Spring Street: Desiree Gillespie was caught by lost prevention attempting to shoplift $116.07 worth of merchandise.  She was taken into custody, fingerprinted and released on copies.
  • Traffic Stop/Warrant Served) N Broad St and Tanglewood Dr. Connica Lackey was stopped for improper passing. After Officer ran her information through GCIC it showed she had multiple warrants and suspended license. Lackey was cited for Improper Passing and DWSL. She was transported to WCSO for X3 Simple Assault, Criminal Trespass, and Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon with no incident.
  • Juvenile Complaint Nowell St., Complainant upset because juveniles cussing near her 4-year-old daughter.  Complainant wanted to press charges.  Been advised of the warrant process. Report taken.
  • Domestic, Amber Trail. Complainant and her boyfriend began verbally disputing and boyfriend got physical. Boyfriend scratched up complainant’s arms and busted her lip. She attempted to call 911 and boyfriend took the phone away from her and began choking her. Warrants to be taken for Aggravated Assault, interference with a 911 call, Battery (FV).
  • Domestic, East Fambrough St., Made contact with complainant and she advised her ex-boyfriend came to the residence and kicked in the back door.  There was damage consistent with forced entry to the door.  The Ex-boyfriend came inside the residence and did not leave until subject arrived home.  A warrant for criminal trespass will be taken on ex-boyfriend.  He has an active warrant out of the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • EMS Assist at Ridge View, Subject walked in to commit himself and was manic. When officers arrived, the staff advised that the patient had made threats against police. EMS handled the patient. without officer contact or incident and transported him to Clearview.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Caller advised a red pickup cut him off and had auxiliary lights on the rear of the vehicle that were blinding him. Last contact was on HWY 78 near Loganville High School. Officer assisted WCSO Deputy with a traffic stop on the vehicle at West Spring Street and HWY 78.
  • Hit and Run at Little Caesars, Driver 2 stated that he was rear ended at West Spring Street and HWY 138. Vehicle 1 was gone when officers arrived. No injuries reported, report taken.
  • Theft Report at Checkers, Complainant stated her temporary tag was taken but it expires on Monday 01/29/2018. Complainant had concerns about the theft but declined a report.
  • Welfare Check 6th Street., Complainant requested Officers to conduct a welfare check on her father. He was found deceased in his bedroom. CID and medical examiner responded to scene, Report taken.  
  • Suspicious Person at the All Star on Bold Springs, Caller advised a drunk male was knocking things over in the store. Upon my arrival the male was back in the vehicle and the female driver had apologized to the clerk. The clerk advised everything was okay.
  • Assault at Old Mill Pt.,dispatch advised female called and stated she was assaulted then hung up. While patrolling Old Mill Pt, Officer located Dayjuanan Smith who wanted a male subject removed from the residence. Dayjuana was arrested for disorderly conduct and public drunk.
  • Meet with Officer at the Walton County Jail, Reference to complainant requesting officers to stand by while she changed custody of her child to her mother.
  •  Suspicious Vehicle West Spring St., Anonymous caller stated a pickup truck failed to maintain lane. Delayed response due to all units being on scene at other calls. Negative contact with vehicle.
  • Mental Health Evaluation at Clearview, Subject in above mentioned EMS assist left Clearview while under a signed 10-13 order. Officers located him at West Spring and Bulldog Dr. Subject was transported back to Ridge View and turned over to the staff. 
  • Domestic Dispute at Ridge Rd., Complainant reported male shoved her down. Male was gone when officers arrived, but later located and he advised that it was incidental contact due to complainant trying to block him from leaving. Report taken, no probable cause for arrest.
  • Missing Person at Captain D’s., Complainant advised that her 16-year-old daughter did not return home at 0100 hours from work at Captain D’s. Officers located the juvenile female at West Creek Cir. and had her call her mother. All okay. Juvenile remained on location with mother’s permission.
  • Suspicious Vehicle at Glen Iris Dr., Resident located at  Glen Iris Dr stated a passenger vehicle stopped at his neighbor’s residence and was occupied with multiple male subjects, the vehicle then drove off towards East Marable Street. Conducted area check with negative contact.
  • Dispute Lacy Street. Subject and her friend who was visiting from out of town were having a verbal dispute. Upon Officers arrival they had settled their issues and one subject agreed to go cool off. The subjects do not live together and are not in a relationship.
  • Structure fire, East Marable Street. Upon arrival the rear exterior was fully engulfed. All that resided in the house were out of the house turned over to MFD
  • Juvenile Complaint South Madison Avenue, Complainant said her 13-year-old began yelling, cussing and verbally arguing with her.  Juvenile also punched the front door breaking the glass.  Juvenile charged with unruly and CT-FV.
  • Damage to Property North Broad Street. An unknown subject entered the parking lot and damaged the windshield on complainant’s truck. Report Taken
  • Dispute at 709 Breedlove Drive (Ridgeview) in reference to staff disputing with family.  Handled by WCSO due to all units unavailable on structure fire.
  • Theft, West Spring Street in reference to a female and stealing items from the garden section on January 26.  The subjects left the scene in a dark colored passenger vehicle.  Report taken.
  • EMS Assist Heritage Trace. Complainant was using the restroom and began shaking uncontrollably. EMS checked her vitals, and all appeared to be ok. Turned over to EMS.
