The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 3 – 10, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Injured Animal – St. Ives – In reference to a deer stuck in the iron fencing. Situation taken care of.
Injured animal – McDaniel St. and St. Ives. Ref to standing by for Public Works to retrieve dispatched deer stuck on fence from night shift, all ok.
Suspicious person – North Broad St., Amici’s. Ref to a female in a sleeping bag in front of the restaurant. Subject was sent on her way, all ok.
Suspicious Vehicle – West Spring St. and Pinecrest Dr. Ref Road Rage vehicles. Vehicle was located on North Broad and Nowell St., no traffic violations observed.
Theft report – West Fambrough St. Ref to money taken overnight possibly by roommate son. Report taken.
Damage to property – Mayfield Dr. Incident occurred a month ago in the county, advised of remedies.
Animal complaint – Masters Dr. Complainant requested PD respond instead of Animal C for a dog fight over the weekend.
Juvenile complaint – New Lacy. Complainant reported neighbor juvenile disturbing items. Handled by phone.
Dispute – East Washington St Complainant and a subject in a dispute. The subject was issued a citation for DOC and left the residence, report taken.
Theft report – West Vine St. Complainant contacted police about a vehicle he had a mechanic in Monroe look at, in which the mechanic removed parts from the vehicle. Report taken
Civil Dispute – Overlook Crest. Verbal dispute between two subjects. One has been advised of the civil process and refuses to act.
Illegal Dumping – Oak St at Booth Dr. In reference to the complainant wanting to file a police report for illegal dumping that has been an ongoing issue. Report taken.
Hit in Run – E Washington St at S Broad St. Complainant advised a black in-color Honda passenger car rear ended them and then left the scene. Report in GEARS.
Damage to Property – West Spring Street. In reference to an occupant in another vehicle hitting the complainant’s vehicle with the drivers’ door while parked. Officer checked the camera footage in reference to a tag number.
TPO Violation – Palmer Ct. In reference to a subject sending text messages. Complainant was provided information in regards to the Temporary Protection Order process.
Dispute – E Church St. Chestnut Cupboard. In reference to a male that attacked the complainant’s fiancé. Complainant advised that fiancé and subject got into a physical altercation in the parking lot.
Dispute – Turner St – Group of women were on Turner St Yelling at each other over a Facebook post, parties separated.
Fight – Maple Ln – A subject was jumped and pistol whipped by three males after he was seen slapping a 12-year-old. The subject was seen by EMS and then arrested for damage to property, public drunk, and child abuse.
Dispute – Davis St – Civil dispute between sisters over a vehicle, they were advised how to handle.
Assault – Chestnut Ln – A female subject stated she was involved in a fight and during such she was bit, by the other female. She said she did not need or want the Police just EMS, since she did not have a ride to the hospital.
Suspicious Vehicle – McDaniel St & BreedLove Dr – vehicle parked on side of road, asked dispatch to contact owner, no answer.
Other Law – S Broad St. – Complainant deposited money into a Wells Fargo ATM, Money got caught at the back of the feed ramp, report taken.
Suspicious Person – N Broad St – reference to reports of a male on location possibly attempting to break into business. Area checked with negative contact.
