MPD Reports: Man overdoses on 12 Viagra, student questioned about shooting statements, storm response

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Tree down – Ammons Bridge and Alcovy. Roadway cleared, all ok.

Traffic light out – HW11 and Charlotte Rowell. Call cleared, all ok.

Tree down – East Marable St. and Mathews Park. Roadway cleared, all ok. 

Suspicious person – Plaza Dr. Ref to a black male running around the parking lot and going door to door. Officers made contact with subject who was turned over to Piedmont Walton for mental evaluation in lieu of charges. 

Roadway blockage – Meadowalk Dr. Ref to a large piece of metal in the roadway. Trampoline removed from the roadway, all ok. 

Theft Report – West Spring St., Walmart. Ref to a purse that was left in a shopping cart. While asking questions complainant was given her purse back by another customer at Wal-Mart. 

Theft report – 2025 West Spring St., Harrys Marathon. Ref to a card taken a week ago.

Dispute – Heritage Terr. Ref to Subject disputing with his caretaker. Both parties were mediated all ok. 

Dispute – West Spring St., Home Depot. Ref to a repo company on location attempting to take a vehicle. Civil remedies advised. 

Request to meet – Tall Oaks East. Complainant wanting to report a commercial vehicle seen on Church St. this morning. All ok. 

Warrant attempt – Cook Pl. Contact made with a subject who was arrested for agg assault warrant. 

Warrant attempt – Cook St. Contact was made with a subject who was arrested for probation violation warrant. 

EMS assist/overdose – Highland Terr. Ref to a 58-year-old overdose in the bathroom. Subject had taken 12 Viagra, transported by EMS, all ok. 

Suspicious Vehicle – US 78E at Aycock Ave. In reference to a brown highlander, unable to maintain lane. Walton County Sheriff Office was advised, due to officer being unable to catch up to the vehicle. 

Accident with Injuries – Alcovy St. The Oaks at Mill Creek. Two vehicle accident with complaint of injuries. Both vehicles removed by Taylor’s. Report in GEARS. 

Suspicious Vehicle – S Madison Ave. Felker Park. In reference to a blue Nissan with windows down. Subjects were advised of park hours and sent on their way. All ok. 

Burglary – Arcadia Ct. In reference to a garage door open per neighbor. Complainant advised they returned home to find the garage door closed. Residence was cleared, no signs of forced entry. Homeowner advised that everything inside the residence is ok and nothing has been stolen or disturbed. All ok. 

Power Line – Holly Hill Rd. Officer located a tree that had fell onto the power lines. Information was passed onto Monroe Utilities. 

Suspicious Person – Atha St. In reference to a black male in a hoodie. Complainant advised that a vehicle let the male out and now the complainant advised the male is trying to break into houses, unknown which address. Contact was made with subject who stated he was there to meet with a friend. It was determined that the father of the friend did not want him there. Subject was given a ride to Racetrac in Loganville. Turned over to Gwinnett County Police Department. 

Identity Theft – Palmer Court someone is applying for Unemployment in the victim’s name. 

Shoplifting Report – Home Depot – Documentation requested in reference to several shoplifting incidents that occurred over the last few weeks by the same two to three individuals 

Theft – S Broad Street Complainant reported the old property manager for South Side Mobile home deposited her deposit for their residence. 

Other Law – Monroe Area High School -In reference to a student making a statement about school shootings. 

Theft – South Madison Ave Subject stealing from them. Victim claimed she gave subject $60 three weeks ago to go to the store for her. Subject never returned with her money or food. 

Dispute – West Marable Apt 7: In reference to question on the eviction process. The civil process was explained to both parties. Situation mediated and remedies given. 

Hit and Run) Great Oaks – Complainant stated she was rear ended while traveling down the road at speed. Secondary vehicle then fled the scene. Report taken. 

Other Law – South Broad Street (Southside Park): In reference a 6-year-old old juvenile flagging me down stated mom wasn’t home. Juvenile was released to his grandmother. Report made for documentation. 

Dispute – W Spring (Moes) In reference to a unknown black male causing a scene because employees were not wearing a mask. Subject was gone when officers arrived 

Dispute – Davis St Subject being intoxicated and refusing to leave. Situation mediated. 

Sexual Assault – (Piedmont Walton) In reference to a juvenile girl taken to the hospital for a check-up, Doctors found bumps in the vaginal area. Turned over to C.I.D. 

Dispute – Gliding Ln Complainant stating that his ex-girlfriend and another female attempted to force their way into his house and sprayed him with mace. Complainant denied pressing charges. Report taken. TPO Process advised. 

Dispute – W Creek Cir. – Two parties disputing over a phone and one struck the other in the face. Subject was gone when officers arrived and warrants were taken.
