The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 20 – 27, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Truancy – New Lacy St. Complainant called because her 8 and 9 year old great-grandchildren, would not go to school. An Aunt picked up the kids and took them to school.
Dispute – West Marable St. Verbal argument between a woman and her ex- boyfriend. He was gone prior to officers’ arrival.
Agency assist – East Fambrough St. Officers stood by while DFACS removed a child from a couple based on a judge’s verbal order and Methamphetamine use in the residence.
Property Damage – Tanglewood Dr. Complainant reported a window broken on his back door overnight. Report taken.
Damage to property – West Spring St., Walmart. Complainant reported damage to his Kia Optima while at Walmart on Tuesday. Report taken.
Assault – Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Mental Health. An employee was assaulted by a patient. Warrants for Battery obtained.
Civil issue – North Broad St., Jay’s Wreaker. Subject attempting to get a trailer that is not titled in her name. Civil Issue.
Mental Subject – McDaniel St. In reference to the complainant, advising that his wife does not believe they are married anymore and causing a disturbance.
Assault – Cook Pl. Complainant advised that she was assaulted by two females that were now gone. Report Taken.
Dispute – W Spring St. Piedmont Walton. In reference to patient’s husband threatening to damage property. Patient and husband left the location with officers’ present.
Dispute – Cook Pl. In reference to dispute over another male and their belongings. Report taken.
Harassment – Custom Way in reference to a subject spreading feces on the complainant’s vehicle and has him on camera doing so. The subject was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct, Reckless Conduct and Criminal Trespassed.
Stolen Vehicle – East Spring Street in reference to a stolen Ford F 350.
Harassment – Gatewood Way – In reference to complainant receiving threats from a subject over an incident that happen between two parties at work. Report taken.
Loud Music – Store House Court in reference to loud music coming from a vehicle. The music was turned down.
Dispute – Unisia Dr. -In reference to complainant stating that Walmart DC was refusing to take a load from him until Saturday 8/22/20 at 1400hr. and the broker who setup the delivery was refusing to do anything about it.
Damage to Property – in reference to a black male subject works for Laser Ship punch the complainant’s vehicle in front of Coffee Camper.
Mental – McDaniel Street: In reference to a subject stating his wife was saying he wasn’t her husband and she was needing medical help. Turned over to EMS.
