MPD Reports: Mental health issue, shotgun stolen, Dispute over tire

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 1 – 8, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic Stop – N. Broad St. and Perry St. in reference to the woman in the car giving a false name.  
  • Theft – W Spring St. – The Home Depot in reference to the theft of a lawnmower. Report taken.
  • Found Property – Russell Dr. in reference to individual finding a bike on his property. The serial number was run with negative results. All ok.
  • Threats Report – Cherry Hill Rd in reference to a civil matter between two subjects. Report taken.
  • Agency Assist – Tanglewood Dr. in reference to assisting DFACS.
  • Meet with Officer – W. Spring St. – Piedmont Walton in reference to subject saying she’s in danger and scared of the staff. Subject is a mental patient, and all was okay.
  • Burglary – Southside Park in reference to complainant stating someone entered his residence and stole an 1100 Remington Shotgun sometime last week. Report taken.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad St. – MPD Lobby in reference to complainant wanting to speak with Officer about his Disorderly Conduct citation. He was advised to appear at his court date.
  • Meet with Officer – W. Spring St. – Walmart in reference to a blue Ford Focus on row 11 with the door open. The vehicle appeared ok. When the tag number RQE0261 was ran, it returned with the registered owner, Kayla Stephen Boutte having a warrant out of Gwinnett County. Kayla Boutte was located inside the business and placed under arrest. She was found to have on her person a glass pipe containing a white powdery substance consistent with Methamphetamine.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – Walmart. Woman was arrested for shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and released.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad St. – Monroe PD. Mikayla Pannell on location with an active warrant. Pannell was taken into custody and transported to the WCSO.
  • Dispute – N Broad St – Al’s Discount Tire. Albert and Tenishia Ross were disputing with complainant over a tire. Albert grabbed complainant, threw him to the ground and advised he would kill him. Albert was Gone on arrival. Report Taken. Warrant to be taken for Simple Battery and Terrorist Threats and Acts.
  • Agency Assist – Dillard Dr. – Monroe Elementary School in reference to child abuse allegations occurring in Tanglewood.
