The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 8 – 15, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Harassment – 4th Street – Complainant from Macon stating she has been receiving threatening messages from a subject who lives at this residence.
Suspicious Person – West Marable Street neighbor exposing himself.
Dispute – Glen Iris Drive: Two people allegedly disputing with each other. Parties on scene uncooperative and not forthcoming. All other parties GOA
Theft – Hubbard Street the CB Partners were missing 16 tires off of a shipment of tires. CB Partners is going to handle it themselves.
Narcotics – Harris Street subjects are selling narcotics behind the fence near a burn down residence. Negative contact.
Suspicious Vehicle – Meadow Walk Drive: in reference three juveniles riding dirt bikes in the area.
Suspicious Person – South Broad Street: an unknown white male drinking two beers and then leaving on a motorcycle. DOT McDaniel Street. Negative contact in the area.
Dispute – E Chuch St – reference to a male subject confronting customers about money. Area searched, negative contact
Scam – Maple Way – Complainant stated that her mother was receiving suspicious phone calls in reference to her Social Security. Remedies advised.
Traffic Offense – Valero N Broad – In reference to a traffic stop for no tag light. The driverwas given a verbal warning. He had a vaild warrant for his arrest. He was taken to Walton County Sheriff’s Office Jail.
Traffic Offense – Nowell St & N Broad – Reference to a Black Nissan Rogue stopped for failing to stop at a stop sign. Further investigation led to the arrest of a subject for: Possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz., Possession of firearm in commission of a felony, Possession of firearm by convicted felon.
Suspicious Person – Launius Ave two subjects parked at the end of the road behind a house. They were warned for trespassing and sent on their way.
Welfare Check -Jays Towing. Complainant stated that her sister was on location and had been assaulted by her boyfriend. Contact was made with subject who refused to name the boyfriend who assaulted her. She refused EMS transport. She was given a courtesy ride to Piedmont Walton for visible injuries to her nose, eye, and lip.
Suspicious Person – E Church St & Tall Oaks Dr. Reference subject riding bicycle down sidewalk. Subject wearing black coat and hoodie coming from area of Baron Properties. Sent on way Photo logged in Spillman
Transport -Piedmont Walton. Transported subject back to Jay’s Tow Yard.
Suspicious Person) – E Church St & High School Ave -Reference to Subject riding a black bicycle on East Washington with no lights. Sent on way
Prowler Report – Plaza Trc – In reference to complainant hearing a loud noise at her back door. Area checked all appeared ok.
Violent Domestic – Booth Drive. Dispute between two subjects. The female subject dumped a pot of boiling water on male while he slept after they had an argument. He was treated on scene by EMS and released. Female subject arrested for Simple Battery FV.
Fraud – South Madison Ave. Complainant advised two employees at the East Spring Street Dollar General have been issuing fraudulent refunds. Report taken.
Fraud – Parkway Pl. complainant having problems with his bank and online loans. Remedies were advised and he was given a case number.
Wanted Person – West Spring Street – Subject wanted on a parole warrant. He was arrested and turned over to Walton county jail without incident.
Damage to Property Report – Maple St. Complainant reported finding a bottom part of her bedroom window missing. No other damage observed, report taken.
Damage to Property – E. Church Street; Chevron. Complainant on struck a curb and damaged his vehicle in the new construction area. Report taken
Domestic Dispute – S. Madison Avenue; WCSO. complainant being in a dispute with her boyfriend over money. Report taken.
Loitering – MLK Jr Blvd. In reference to 6-7 vehicles in the parking lot. Vehicles were sent on their way. All ok.
Suspicious Person – N Broad St. J&B Food Mart. In reference to complainant advising that someone is behind the store. Subject was sent on their way.
