MPD Reports: Officers respond to a slew of domestic disputes

The Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 28 to Oct. 5, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Harassment, Jessica Way, complainant stated his ex-girlfriend won’t stop texting him.  Contact was made with ex-girlfriend and she agreed to stop texting him.
  • Suspicious Person, West Vine St., reference to complainant advising someone was under his mobile home. An area check was conducted with negative contact. Everything on location ok.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., reference to a patient assaulting staff on location. Upon arrival patient had already been restrained to her bed.
  • Stolen Vehicle, Baron Dr., reference to complainant’s 2014 GMC Sierra taken from the residence. While en route dispatch advised the vehicle had been repossessed. The owner’s son was on location and was advised of the repossession. Everything on location ok.
  • Traffic Stop, Perry St., Senace Thompson was arrested for several warrants out of Gwinnett County.
  • Dispute, Custom Way, reference to complainant stating her ex-roommate was harassing her. Complainant was previously arrested for family violence battery and has conditions of bond to stay away from ex-roommate Complainant stated ex-roommate has been waiting outside her place of employment as well as asking the clerks at Chestnut Cupboard if complainant had been in recently. Complainant was advised of remedies. Report taken.
  • Child Abuse, G W Carver Dr., mother advised her 4-year-old was struck in the face, while at her father’s residence in Newton County. She was advised to file a report in Newton County.
  • Damage to Property, South Broad St./Monroe Police Department. Where complainant advised an unknown subject keyed her vehicle last date on Alcovy Street, while attending an AA meeting.
  • Juvenile Complaint, South Broad St., reference to a juvenile on a dirt bike driving reckless. Officer advised the juvenile not to ride in the roadway.
  • Assault, South Hammond Dr./Hammond Park, reference to complainant being hit in the head with rocks.  Complainant stated he was sitting at the table when a group of black male subjects walked past him and threw a hand full of rocks at him. He stated the rocks struck the back of his head. Complainant had no visible mark and declined EMS. He stated the subjects ran towards Hammond Drive. An area check was conducted with negative findings. Complainant declined a report.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Applewood Dr., reference to a Ford F-250 parked in front of the complainant’s residence. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., reference to a dispute between two subjects over property and money. Parties were separated. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Walmart, reference to an older model Chevrolet S-10 parked in a handicap parking space. Unknown caller requested officers to check the welfare of the driver as he was recently released from the hospital. Contact made with vehicle and the driver had already gone into the store. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Springdale Rd., reference to a truck in the area possibly looking for a place to illegally dump trash.  Negative contact
  • Civil Matter, South Hammond Dr., reference to complainant wanting to get her boyfriend from Harris Street but he’s not coming out and a girl on scene yelling at her. Went to the residence and boyfriend was not there.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Piedmont Walton ER, reference to a subject causing a disturbance, yelling, cussing, and causing the staff to become fearful after he was dropped off at the ER by Walton county Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested for Disorderly Conduct x2, Possession of Marijuana less than 1oz. and Consumption of Alcohol by a Minor. He was fingerprinted at MPD and turned over to the WCSO Jail.
  • Juvenile Complaint, South Broad St., reference to complainant witnessing two Juveniles riding dirt bikes recklessly in MHP. Dirt bikes were gone when officers arrived.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Marable St. at Mathews Park – Xzavier Cox was arrested for possession of marijuana.
  • Dispute, West Spring St., Captain D’s, reference to a customer causing a scene in the drive-through. Made contact with customer and the staff and situation mediated. All ok
  • Drugs, West Spring St., Little Ceaser, Gray Honda Civic smoking weed in the parking lot.  Checked the area and could not locate the vehicle or anyone sitting in a vehicle.
  • Dispute, Davis St., reference to male subject being highly intoxicated and causing a scene. Family was able to get him to go inside and were advised to call us back if there were any more issues.
  • Dispute, Towler St., reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects. No claims of family violence.
  • Assault, Davis St., reference to both male and female subjects claiming the other hit them. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person, Hammond Park, reference to male and female subjects sleeping under the pavilion advised them to leave the park.
  • Suspicious Activity, Sycamore Court, reference to female subject seeing shadows in the woods.  Subject wanted to go to the hospital. Officer escorted her to the hospital and turned her over to ER staff
  • Report in Person, S. Broad St., complainant advised that there were drug dealing going on in front of his residence off of Page St. Forward the information to drug unit.
  • Suspicious Person, MLK Jr Blvd., reference to a male walking down the road in hospital attire. Made contact with that male who was discharged from the ER and was walking home. Male was given a courtesy ride home in Loganville.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks East, reference to 16-year-old trying to get inside her residence with a credit card.
  • Damage Property, Lacy St., complainant said someone hit his motorcycle and knocked it over on Wednesday. Report Taken.
