MPD Reports: Overdose in restaurant restroom; subject impersonating an EMT crashes into a telephone pole

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 8 – 15, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Dispute – Wall Rd. Complainant not wanting his wife’s friend at their house. Situation mediated. 

EMS assist – North Broad St., Bojangles. Employee overdosed in the restroom. Transported by EMS to Piedmont Walton. 

Theft report – Carwood Dr. Complainant reported his back door broken and various items taken. Report made. 

Dispute – King St. Two subjects involved in a verbal argument. Situation was mediated and one subject left the residence. 

Suspicious person – West Spring St., Waffle House. Ref to a white male on location in a black Ford Ranger with a blue camper shell harassing an employee. Male was gone when officers arrived. 

Suspicious person – Felker St. Ref to three black males walking behind the complainants’ residence. Complainant chased subjects off with baseball bat 15 minutes prior to 911 call. Area checked with negative contact. 

Dispute – Douglas St. In reference to the complainant wanting to make a report of abuse to them and K9 by husband. Report taken. 

Follow Up – Highland Creek Dr. – Female subject was taken into custody, warrants from case. Supplemental added to original case. 

Traffic Stop – S Broad St at SouthSide Park. Vehicle was stopped for an equipment violation. After investigation the driver was taken into custody for OCGA 40-8-26 Equipment violation, OCGA 40-5-121(a) Driving while license is suspended, OCGA 16-13-2 Poss of marijuana less than 1oz, OCGA 16- 13-30 Poss of Methamphetamine. The passenger was taken into custody for OCGA 16-13- 30 Poss. of Methamphetamine. Warrants taken. 

Dispute – W Spring St. Haven Inn and Suites. In reference to a male in the room acting belligerent and possibly intoxicated. 

Suspicious Person – W Spring St. Harry’s Marathon. In reference to a male sleeping in a black mustang.

Dispute – Springer Lane: a dispute between two subjects over money. 

Suspicious Vehicle – Hwy 138 / West Spring Street: In reference to a red & black Dodge Challenger driving recklessly per Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Area check. Negative contact. 

Juvenile complaint – New Lacy Street -Female subject stated her juvenile daughter stole her money and cell phone. Situation mediated, DFACS notified due to living conditions. 

Vehicle Collision – Walton Road a vehicle was traveling on Walton Road with lights and sirens on. Vehicle collided into a telephone pole. Driver was placed under arrest for Reckless Driving, striking a fixed object and Impersonating an EMT. 

Threats – Plaza Dr (Your Extra Attic) -Complainant reporting harassing communication from her ex- boyfriend 

Person Hit by Vehicle – Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. (Mr. Car Wash) In reference to subject being struck by a Silver Silverado passenger mirror. Complainant just wants the incident to be documented. Report made. 

Stolen Vehicle – Hwy 11: the complaint wanting to report vehicle stole. The location is in the county. Turned over to WCSO. 

Dispute – West Spring Street (Waffle House) In reference to a male subject refusing to leave. He was criminal trespassed from Waffle House due to he kept asking for a 17-year-old waitress constantly when she came in. 

Vehicle – MPD -In reference to previous call. Contact made with complainant who advised the incident occurred in Barrow County, advised to contact Barrow County. 

Shoplifting – West Spring Street (Walmart) – two females caught shoplifting. Both cited and released. 

EMS Assist – Sorrells Street – In reference to possible domestic dispute on location. No domestic took place; however, the subject was on location, he has a valid warrant. He was taken to WCSO DC.
