MPD Reports: Overdose of sleeping pills, dispute over money for probation

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 2 – 9, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Follow Up – N. Madison Ave. – The Market. In reference to follow up on fraud case. Evidence collected and submitted. 
  • Welfare check – W. Spring St. WALMART in reference to a child left in a car. Child was 8-year=old male, spoke with the mother. all okay.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Davis St.: In reference to complainant’s daughter being unruly. Situation was mediated. The complainant’s had a warrant for Violation of Probation out of Walton County. Report made
  • Harassment – In reference to complainant reporting harassing calls and contact from her child’s father’s family. Civil remedies advised.
  • Illegal Parking – Jackson St. in reference to several vehicles parked illegal. All of the vehicles were moved.
  • Dispute – 3rd St.; Complainant reported family members came to her house to drop off a TV and she did not want them there. Family members left the residence.
  • Fraud – Ridge Rd. in reference to a subject from Texas is using her social security number to open a Sprint account.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St; In reference to a juvenile 10-13 patient’s mother causing a disturbance. Mother calmed down before Officers arrived and the situation was mediated.
  • Unknown – S. Broad MPD: In reference to possible road rage incident on Hwy 78 in the area of Unisia Drive. The complainant wanted this incident documented. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – S. Madison Ave. (Felker Park): In reference to several buildings being spray painted. Report made.
  • Magnolia Terrace in reference to making contact with the mother of a child at Monroe Area High School. Turned over to School resource Officer.
  • Harassment – W. Spring St. (Shane’s): In reference to an employee being let go and asked to leave the property.
  • EMS Assist – Breedlove Dr. (Ridgeview): In reference patient taking too much medication to help her sleep. Turned over to EMS.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – White Oak Dr.: In reference to a vehicle in her driveway. Two subject was meeting someone in reference to a dog. They had the wrong address. All okay.
  • Juvenile complaint – Douglas St.: In reference to juveniles possibly wanting to fight with her juvenile. The incident happened on the school bus referral to the school resource officer.
  • Suspicious Person – East Washington Street in reference to a subject being upset because his mother, who works at a local bank, would not cash a money order that she gave him to pay his probation because he wasn’t using it for its intended purpose. The subject left the bank prior to the officer’s arrival. Situation mediated.
  • Suspicious vehicle – HW138 and Walunt Grove. Complainant reports a vehicle attempted to pass him illegally in Walnut Grove and requested to meet at Hatachi. Tuned over to Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Enter Auto – Boulevard. Reference to a white Buick Rendezvous being entered during the night. Only loose change was taken. Report declined. Extra patrol requested.
