MPD Reports: Owner of dog left in hot car advised of dangers of doing so

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 19 – 25, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge is not considered a conviction.

  • Dispute – Booth Dr. in reference to unknown subjects on location causing a disturbance. Dispute between neighbors who are not familiar with each other. Situation resolved. 
  • Dispute – Booth Dr. return call reference group starting to dispute again after officers left. The situation was mediated. All okay.
  • Dispute – W. Fambrough St. to complainant wanting officers to stand by with her while she got items from home. All ok.
  • Fight -Wheel House Ln. Multiple subjects in the roadway disputing. Area check conducted, with negative contact.
  • Rape – W. Vine St. Complainant stated that subject raped her at a location approximately 3 weeks ago. Criminal Investigation Division was notified and responded.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – Walmart. The subject was arrested for shoplifting. She was fingerprinted and released on copy of the citation.
  • Dispute – Nowell St. in reference to 13-year-old advising his mother was throwing items around the residence and left, due to stress. Juvenile was left with other family members, all appeared okay.
  • Animal Bite – Carwood Dr. Complainant stated three dogs attempted to attack her. She did not sustain any injuries. An area check was conducted for the dogs with negative contact.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – Walmart. Warrant to be taken for shoplifting against a subject from an incident that occurred on 7/18/2019.
  • Suspicious Car – Hwy 78w @ Cherry Hill Rd. The subject was following a vehicle for approximately 10 minutes, allegedly in an attempt to apologize for cutting them off. She was advised that it was not alright to follow people.
  • Dispute – Lacy St.-Subject and his girlfriend got into a verbal argument about her cheating on him. Situation resolved.
  • Canine Complaint – N. Broad St. – In reference to a canine left in a vehicle. The owner was located and advised of the dangers of leaving a canine unattended in a closed vehicle on a 90- degree day.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. – Franks Gas Station. In reference to Rodney Strozier assaulting victim. Rodney was arrested for battery and obstruction. Report taken.
  • Accident / Driving under the influence – S. Madison Ave. Michael Marlowe wrecked his vehicle into a pole and was arrested for Driving under the influence. Report taken
  • Dispute – E. Washington St. James Monroe Homes. In reference to the subject who was disputing with her boyfriend. Parties were separated. All ok.
  • Dispute – Maple St./ 117 Cook Pl. – in reference to a complainant calling 911 and stating she was attacked by a male subject. Both addresses were checked, all parties on location advised they were ok.
  • Suspicious Person – W. Creek Cir. In reference to a subject standing on the front porch with a ski mask. Subject who lives on location experiencing medical issues. Turned over to EMS.
  • Theft – Highway 78: Complainant had a shortage of $84.02 this morning which possibly occurred from 1400 hrs last date to 0700 hours this morning. 4 possible suspects. Complainant was going to get the surveillance video on a jump drive.
  • Disable Vehicle – Fairway Dr.: In reference to a 2007 Ford F-150 Black in color that has been sitting in front of a residence on Fairway Dr. since Saturday per complainant. Vehicle has been tagged.
  • EMS Assist – Hwy 138 (Great Oaks Senior Living): In reference to complainant having breathing problems and complaining of chest and shoulder pain. Turned over to EMS.
