MPD Reports: Parent questions MAHS student’s rights over his phone being taken

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Feb. 1 – 7, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Person, West Spring St., Piedmont Walton,  subject on location loitering. Subject was advised to leave and he left. All ok.
  • Loud Music, Highland Creek Dr., reference to loud music coming from a vacant house in the area. Area check conducted with negative contact.
  • 911 Hang-up, Eagles Trail, reference to complainant verbally disputing with her boyfriend and wanting him to leave. The subject was gone when officers arrived.
  • Harassment, Sporty Lane, reference to complainant disputing with named subject about doing her taxes wrong. Civil remedies were advised.
  • Traffic Stop, Harris St./Ash St., Subject stopped for driving on suspended license. She was taken into custody and fingerprinted at Monroe PD before being released on a copy of the citation.
  • Dispute, West Creek Circle, reference to complainant verbally disputing over the property with a named subject and wanting an officer to standby as the subject’s property was taken out. All ok.
  • Meet with Officer, Double Springs Road., MAHS, reference to a parent wanting to know her rights in reference to her son’s phone being taken. All ok
  • Meet with Officer, West Spring St., complainant and Lazara Bolden wanting to follow up on an incident which occurred on Sunday, Feb. 3. Bolden was arrested for her outstanding warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office and transported to the jail without issue.
  • Dispute, Tall Oaks, Employee with Tall Oaks leasing advised a named subject came onto location and began disputing with her. She wanted him criminally trespassed. I made contact with the subject on Custom Way and served him with the notice. All ok.
  • Harassment, Wheeler St., reference to complainant stating named male subject who his friend another named subject attempt to make contact with her at work and home. The complainant stated she has a Temporary Protection Order out on Named male subject due to a previous family violence incident. Complainant stated both subjects was on location in a grey Nissan Maxima. The subjects were GOA. Report taken.
  • Drag Racing at Highway 78 / Unisia Dr., reference to a white Dodge and a white Chevy truck racing. Area check conducted with negative contact.
  • Dispute, East Church St., Chevron, reference to daughter verbally disputing with mother over a PlayStation and clothing. They were advised of the civil process. Everything on location ok.
  • Harassment, South Broad St., Monroe Police Department lobby reference to complainant advising he keeps receiving scam phone calls all day. Subject advised of remedies
  • Warrant Served, Alcovy, Georgia Probation Management, reference to Cincheska King being on location with an active warrant. King was arrested and transported to the Jail without issue.
  • Dispute, Davis St., a call went out as 911 hang up with arguing in the background. Named male subject was possibly in an altercation with a female due to anonymous. female caller and injury to subject. Other party could not be located. Report taken
  • Missing Person, Birch St., male subject last seen at 0900 hours.  Placed on GCIC.  Male subject returned home at 2100 hours and appeared to be okay.
  • Threats, Spruce Lane, reference to an ale subject telling complainant he was going to get his “Ghost faced killers” to assault named male subject over a dispute from last year. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, East Church St., reference to two subjects in fairgrounds after dark. Directed to leave area.
  • Dispute, Maple St., a mother was upset that her 18-year-old son, spilled her beer. Parties were separated prior to officer’s arrival.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Matthews Park, the subject was charged with Possession of Marijuana Less than One Ounce.  Released on a citation.
  • Dispute, Maple St., reference to complainant stating he was assaulted by named subject. After speaking with all parties and getting conflicting stories as well as verifying complainant was not being truthful with his story, no warrants to be taken at this time. Report made.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, Monroe Estates, A pick-up containing 16-year-old female was found in the cul-de-sac. She was transported back to her residence on Walton Road.
