MPD Reports: Property damage due to fight; injuries due to falling gutter

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period April 4 – 10, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant Served – Chestnut Lane at Claywill Cir. Officer was in the area and recognized Bartholomew Hicks. Officer was aware he had a Probation Violation warrant. Hicks was taken into custody without incident.
  • Agency Assist – MLK Jr Blvd in reference to diverting traffic for Walton County Sherriff’s Office.
  • Dispute – Store House Ct. – Complainant advised her friend would not give over her keys. Keys were returned and friend was gone on arrival.
  • Agency Assist – 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department in reference to filing a sexual assault report that occurred in November 2018.
  • Theft Report – 116 South Broad Street – Monroe Police Department in reference to complainant reporting his 9mm Jimenez JA Nine pistol lost/stolen. The complainant stated he last saw the firearm on 3/19/19 and is unsure if it is somewhere in his home or if it was stolen. Report taken. The firearm was listed on GCIC as Stolen.
  • Damage to Property – Walton Rd. Three complainants advised while working in the flower bed, the gutter fell off the back of the house and injured each of them. Report taken.
  • Lost Item Report – Birch Street – in reference to complainant reporting his wallet missing. The complainant stated he lost the wallet at some point over the weekend. Report taken.
  • Suspicious Person – 4th Street in reference to a white female swinging a shovel at passing vehicles. Officer made contact with the subject; she stated she was using her hand to motion the passing vehicle to slow down. Lynn stated she had her granddaughter’s plastic shovel in her hand, but did not swing it at the vehicle. Officer made contact with the complainant. She stated subject was waving the shovel at her children as they drove by. The complainant stated this is an ongoing issue. All parties were advised of remedies. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Sweetgum Dr.- Complainant advised subject damaged her freezer and rumbled through her clothing. The complainant was very irate and would not follow any lawful commands. She was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and released on a copy.
  • Theft – Carwood Dr. Complainant stated that his black Taurus G2C 9mm handgun went missing from his brother’s vehicle sometime between 1930 hours on Sunday 4/7/2019 and 0200 hours on Monday 4/8/2019. He stated he had been in George Walton Homes and Young Pines that night. Gun was placed on GCIC as stolen. Report taken.
  • Suicide Attempt – Bolton Street. 15 year of age subject took a various amount of medications and had numerous self-inflicted lacerations on her person. Turned over to EMS.
  • Traffic Stop/Arrest -S. Broad St. / Walker St. – Benocia Hannah was arrested for a warrant out of Winder during a traffic stop for a brake light violation.  Transported to Windstream and turned over to Winder Police Depart.
  • Dispute – South Side Mobile Home Park. Subjects had a dispute over a vehicle, and living arrangements. Parties were separated for the night. All ok
  • Unsecured Residence – Radford St. – Request to check the residence due to being unsecured earlier this date.  Extra patrol requested.
  • Fight – Cook Pl. – In reference to a fight between subject and numerous people on location.  Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Cook Pl. – In reference to damage to residence and vehicle, a continuation of an earlier fight.
