MPD Reports: Prowler, narcotics, threats and stalking incidents reported

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 10 – 17, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Entering Auto – N. Broad St. – Golden Pantry in reference to complainant having her phone stolen out of her vehicle last date on GW Carver Drive. Complainant will follow up once she discovers her phones serial number information. 
  • Juvenile Complaint – Pine Park St. Complainant upset with juveniles on location playing. Situation mediated.
  • Damage to Property – W. Church St and Wayne St. in reference to the stop sign knocked down. Monroe Public Works was notified. Report taken.
  • EMS Assist – Bulldog Dr. – GWA in reference to a 19-year-old male with a concussion. Turned over to EMS.
  • Dispute – Mountain View Dr. in reference to subjects disputing over money. All okay. Report taken.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Roosevelt St. in reference to children riding in complainant’s driveway. All okay.
  • Narcotics – Carver Pl. in reference to subjects smoking marijuana at the playground. Negative contact.
  • Animal Complaint -S. Broad. In reference to a dog being mistreated. All appeared ok. Dispatch was advised to notify animal control.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Knight St. Complainant advised her daughter was supposed to be at the park, but was found to be at subjects’ house on Radford Street. The two were reported to have been involved in sexual activity together. Report taken.
  • Dispute – S. Broad in reference to neighbors disputing over the care of a K9. Situation was mediated. All ok.
  • Firearms – Davis St./Harris St.. Officers patrolled the area and had negative contact. The caller did not wish to meet.
  • Threats – Michael Circle. Complainant advised she had been threatened by subject multiple times within the past couple weeks. She was afraid that he was going to come harm her during the night. Remedies were given but due to Officer not being able to determine that suspect was in fact the one sending the messages charges were not taken at this time. Report made.
  • Theft – Kim’s Crab Shack. Complainant advised $704 was taken from her business between 1900 and 2030 hours. Officer spoke with all employees who gave consent of a search of their vehicles. The money was not located. Complainant requested a report for documentation purposes.
  • Dispute – N. Midland Ave. Caller advised she would like to make a report due to a male stalking her. Officer attempted to make contact at residence as well as through on the phone via dispatch. Officer was unable to make contact.
  • Dispute – Green St. Civil issue between two individuals in reference to one of them living on location. Remedies were given and parties advised they would work it out civilly. All ok.
  • Traffic Accident – Roosevelt St; Single vehicle accident, no injuries. Driver arrested for suspended license.
  • Prowler – Gliding Lane in reference to the caller stating someone was attempting to get into his window. Officer walked the perimeter of the residence and did not locate anyone nor any sign that someone had been on location. All ok.
  • Traffic Stop – McDaniel St./Michael Etchison. Officer observed a vehicle fail to maintain lane multiple times. Officer conducted a traffic stop and determined the driver was driver under the influence. He was placed in custody, fingerprinted and transported to the Walton County Jail.
