MPD Reports: Pursuit of two sports bikes; vehicle damaged by object thrown at it while being driven

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Aug. 6 – 13, 2020. Due to the length, this report was split into five parts. This is the third part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

Theft – Store House Ct in reference to a theft of a child’s pink bike. The complainant did not want a report taken. 

Other Law – Birch Street -In reference to a complainant requesting an OIC to his residence for a report of harassment. Report taken 

Speeding Auto – Thompson Ridge Drive: In reference to a black mustang driving reckless and laying drags. Extra patrol in this area for the vehicle. 

Damage to Property – Reed St. – In reference to a complainant reporting that someone had damaged her mailbox. Report taken. 20M012387 

Agency Assist – Magnolia Rdg Trailer park -In reference to Walton County Sheriff’s Office requesting MPD assistance with a suspicious vehicle involved in an accident on Unisia Drive. 

Damage to property – N. Madison Ave. – Complainant returned home from work today and saw that her front passenger side window to her vehicle had been broken. She had active warrants for her arrest out of Covington; however, they did not want to place a hold. 

Civil Issue – Walker Dr. Howard Brewer wanted to speak with officers in reference to ongoing issues with the residents at West Creek Cir. 

Juvenile Complaint – Wheelhouse Ln. Kids in the area playing in other people’s yard. Made contact and advised them to play in their own yard. 

Dispute – GW Carver Dr. Complainant on location to retrieve property. Parties were advised of civil process. 

Damage to Property – Walton Truck Stop. In reference to damage received by object was thrown at a vehicle while vehicle was in motion. 

Agency Assist – Hwy 78. In reference to two sport bikes fleeing from WCSO. MPD units unable to make contact. 

Suspicious Vehicle – Baron Dr. Complainant stating that her father’s child was seen in a vehicle and that he had warrants. He was confirmed to have warrants however the jail would not accept. 

Dispute – West Creek Cir. Complainant, who was not on location, stated that her girlfriend was actively burning her property. Contact was made with the girlfriend who was able to provide proof of ownership for all items destroyed. Both parties declined to press charges. 

Traffic Stop – Pine Park & Lacy St. Subject was stopped and he stated he had just eaten marijuana which led to a probable cause search. Marijuana, crack cocaine, Lortabs, oxycontin, and a stolen Glock 19 were recovered. Warrants taken. 

Entering Auto – Radford Park/Wheeler St. Two juveniles walking around in the area. Upon investigation it was determined that a vehicle was entered. Contact was made with the owner who stated nothing was taken and declined a report. 

Suspicious Person -Carver Pl. Male and female passively attempting to evade officers. Contact was made, and the female has active warrants. However, the jail refused acceptance. 

Dispute -Green St. & Perry St. Verbal dispute between friends. Both parties agreed to go back in the house and calm down. 

Entering Auto in Progress – N. Midland Ave. Complainant stated a white male was entering her car and she was watching it on camera. Perimeter set up and area cleared. Upon review of the camera footage it was determined that no crime occurred. 

Prowler – Wheeler Drive in reference to the complainant thought she heard someone at her back door trying to enter it. Upon Officers arrival, there was no one in the back door. 

Theft – Turner Street: in reference to Carolyn Brewer wanting to report her boyfriend stealing her wallet last night in Gwinnett County. Advised to contact Gwinnett. 

Suspicious person -Church Street at Chestnut Cupboard in reference to two male subjects asking for money in the area.
