MPD Reports: Rape, burglary, scam, ID theft, assault and multiple disputes

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 14 – 22, 2018. Due to the length, this report has been split into four parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Meet With complainant, West Spring St., the complainant advised her apple phone, credit cards, xfinity internet, and email accounts were all being hacked.  The complainant advised she recently moved into a trailer park in the county with her boyfriend where this is occurring.  She was advised of remedies and if it continues because of where she lives to contact Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Child Custody, South Broad St., mother called in reference to her juvenile daughter not being returned to her residence per the custody agreement. Report taken.
  • Welfare check, Lacy St., the caller stated she had not spoken with her grandmother all day and requested a check. Contact was made and all was ok.
  • Dispute, Bridgeport Place, mother advised her daughter’s boyfriend was on location without permission. He was GOA upon officers’ arrival. Remedies were advised.
  • Scam Report, Store House Court, reference to complainant receiving phone calls from someone claiming to be the IRS. Report declined.
  • Burglary, Cook Place, the complainant advised her uncle, Tyrone Butler, allegedly broke into her residence and stole clothing that was her children’s Christmas presents. Tyrone was witnessed by named male subject who was on location. Butler was located and arrested on Maple Lane. He was fingerprinted and charged with Burglary 1st degree, Butler was taken and released to WCSO.
  • Rape, Carver Middle School, reference to a rape that occurred last date on Victory Drive. Turned over to CID and officer.
  • Fight, Pine Park St., Tidria Broughton and Denver Robinson were arrested for affray.
  • Assault, Westcreek Circle, reference to a child getting slapped in the face. Complainant claimed an adult named female slapped him in the face. The investigation revealed that the complainant slammed another kid on Westcreek Circle and was slapped by another kid. Named female advised all parties to leave her property. Report from complainant mother declined.
  • Suspicious Person, Breedlove Dr./McDaniel St., reference to a white female with brown hair waving down passing cars. Negative contact with anyone in the area.
  • Suspicious vehicle, Baker St., male and female were homeless and parking in the park.   They were advised not to stay in the park.
  • Suspicious Vehicle, West Spring St., Family Dollar, reference to a disorderly juvenile who was gone when officers arrived. Made contact with the Juveniles parent and informed her not to return to the location. All ok.
  • Dispute, South Madison Ave., reference to husband and wife who got into a verbal argument.  No crimes of Domestic Violence occurred.  Husband left the residence before units arrived on location. Report taken.
  • Dispute, Great Oaks Dr., Reddy Urgent Clinic, reference to named female subject on location being aggressive. Contact made with the subject who was upset that staff members called her an addict and refused to give her a prescription medication for muscle pain when all she had was a headache.
  • Dispute, Millstone Bluff, reference to a silver GMC SUV with occupants yelling at each other. En route, units were advised suspects were leaving in black Kia passenger car.  Contact was made and the traffic stop conducted. An odor of raw marijuana within vehicle led to occupants being detained and search conducted. The search resulted in the location of two firearms, 3 bags of marijuana, and two prescription pills.  Chandler Gibson was arrested for possession of schedule II narcotic and marijuana less than one ounce.  Dominique Wright was arrested for possession of schedule II narcotic, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and possession of a firearm without a permit. Report taken.
  • Dispute, 4th St., reference to a domestic dispute between two subjects. Ultimately female was determined to be the primary aggressor.
