MPD Reports: Report of sexual assault threats on children made over the phone

The City of Monroe Police Report reported the following incidents for the period Jan. 30 to Feb. 6, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Traffic stop – N. Broad St. and Churches Chicken. Vehicle towed by Taylor’s due to lack of insurance. 
  • Harassing phone calls – Walton Rd. Complainant advised she received 4 phone calls from an unknown caller using a voice changer threating sexual assault against her children. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Bay Willow Ct. Construction Manager advised glass window was broken and lotion smeared on windows. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Lopez Ln. Complainant advised his wife took their 8-year-old and 2-year-old to her parents’ house. All ok
  • Dispute – HW78, Waffle House. Reference to two subjects disputing with a third subject.
  • Vehicle accident – MLK Jr. Blvd. Dunkin Doughnuts. Two vehicles, no injuries. Subject arrested for Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St., Wal-Mart. Two subjects arrested for shoplifting.
  • Vehicle accident with injuries/roadway blockage/ and entrapment – at E. Spring St., and One Bulldog Dr. Passenger car vs. school bus. Two transported to Piedmont Walton, Turned over to Georgia State Patrol.
  • Follow up – MPD. Ref to Hickory Dr. Subject now filing missing person’s report for a missing person.
  • Request to meet – S. Broad St., Southside MHP. Complainant advised she was trapped in her bedroom. She was freed, all ok.
  • Agency Assist – Auto Zone. In reference to DFACS wanting to conduct a home visit on children. We relocated to Carwood Dr. and remained on location while DFACS conducted the visit. All ok.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Ash St. In reference to a male subject wearing a red hoodie driving a sedan and knocking on the complainants’ door. Officer made contact with the subject who advised he was visiting his aunt who recently moved. He stated he had gone to the wrong residence at first. All ok.
  • 911 Hang Up – Holly Hill Rd. In reference to the subject calling 911 about a shooter being in the residence. The subject was having a mental episode and was stating she was JunJun subject’s cousin. The subject was transported to Piedmont Walton by Walton EMS for a mental evaluation.
  • Illegal Parking – Plaza Dr. In reference to a silver vehicle parked in the handicap parking space. The owner advised she had recently had surgery and was temperately parking there. She was advised she had to move the vehicle unless she has been issued a handicap tag.
  • Dispute – E. Spring St.- Monroe Motor Inn. In reference to male and female subjects arguing over the fact that female subject has been gone all day without telling male subject where she was. Report taken.
  • Prisoner transport – from 2900 University Parkway., Gwinnett County Jail. Female subject transported to WCSO for MPD warrant, all ok.
  • Dispute – Old Mill Point. Grandmother advised her granddaughter is not following her house rules while she stays there. Situation mediated, all ok.
  • Threats/request area check – Tanglewood Dr. Residence checked due to the possibility of someone breaking the back windows. All appeared ok, extra patrol requested.
  • Theft report – N. Broad St., Monroe Food Mart. Complainant reports an unknown b/m took approximately $15 worth of food and fled on foot towards Sorrells St. yesterday.
  • Dispute – S. Broad St., Southside MHP In reference to a child custody issue, the child returned to the mother. All ok
  • Suspicious vehicle – W. Spring St., H&R Block. Ref to a white Ford on location since approx Wednesday. Not stolen, and did not belong to employees from H&R block or Papa Johns. Advised of private property parking lot remedies.
  • Suicidal threats – E. Church St. Madison Manor. In reference to a subject having suicidal threats, turned over to EMS.
