MPD Reports: Several complaints of auto entry and theft

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period March 28 – April 3, 2019. Due to the length, this has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Dispute – Davis St. in reference to subject still on location and complainant wanted him to leave.
  • Dispute – Ash Lane in reference to a verbal dispute between two subjects. The situation was mediated.
  • Theft Report – N. Madison Ave. – The Market. Complainant (Store Clerk) advised two unknown black males took his Apple I-Phone 6 off the counter. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop – Hwy 78 W. at Cedar Ridge in reference to subject observed driving a 2015 Gray in color Kia Optima with a Suspended Tag and No Insurance. The vehicle was removed by Jays and Torrance was released on copy.
  • Theft – W. Spring St. – Metro PCS in reference to the theft of a cellphone. Report taken.
  • Traffic Stop – E. Spring St. – Subject arrested for drugs not in original container and possession of schedule IV.
  • Traffic Stop – Southview Dr. in reference to Lisa Dingler observed driving a 2002 Silver in color Honda Accord and having an active warrant out of Clarke County SO. Dingler was arrested and transported to Stripling’s, where she was turned over to Clarke County Sheriff Office.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad St. – Hodge Podge. Complainant’s 2012 Cadillac CTS was entered in the parking lot. The front passenger window was busted and one of the complainants’ purse was taken. A Rossi 38 special snub nose was inside the purse at the time of the theft. No serial number provided at this time.
  • Domestic – Plaza Dr. in reference to a physical dispute between a male and female, which subject punched complainant in the lip and left the scene. Warrants to be taken for Battery Family Violence and false imprisonment.
  • Entering Auto – Davis Street – In reference to unlocked Chevy Blazer entered overnight. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
  • Traffic Stop – N. Broad St. at Monroe City Hal. Antonio Cain pulled over for red light and had a valid probation warrant for Robbery out of Barrow County. Subject arrested
  • Damage to Property – Magnolia Ter. – In reference to Complainant witnessing subject trying to break into her house the previous day. Report taken.
  • Agency Assist – W. Spring S. (Walton Piedmont Hospital) met with Correctional Officer, in reference to getting an inmate person into the hospital. Need officers to stand by while they opened the van.
  • Counterfeit – E. Church St. in reference to multiple fake bills given to business. Counterfeit bills were placed into evidence.
  • Suicide Threats – S. Broad St. in reference to a subject threatening to harm herself. Called in by her mother. Contact made with the subject who advised she was fine and did not want to harm herself. Situation mediated and the subject left walking.
  • Stabbing/Foot Chase – caller was pin mapped to the Wheeler St. area, near the playground. Once on scene, saw several subjects fleeing from the area of E Washington St. Checked Wheeler St. with negative contact.  Checked area where saw subjects fleeing and negative contact. Made contact with juveniles at E Washington St that said they retrieved their basketball from across the street and were running back.  Dispatch advised it was possibly a female juvenile but only males on location.  While on scene an officer got out with two subjects and they fled on foot resulting in an apprehension of an individual.
  • Domestic – New Lacy St.: Two subjects arguing over car keys. Parties separated. Report Taken.
