MPD Reports: Several entering auto thefts, burglaries and car wrecks reported

The City of Monroe reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 5 – 12, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Assault – Plantation Dr. – Two subjects were involved in a physical dispute. 
  • Enter Auto – Rose Ison Terrace. The complainant stated her 1998 Honda Accord was entered last night between 2300 and time of call. No items known to have been taken at this time. Report taken.
  • Prisoner transport – Alcovy St., Suite 7 Probation. Ref to transporting female who was already in probation custody. She was transported to the Walton County Jail without incident. Report taken.
  • Warrant attempt – Tall Oaks W. Subject arrested for a warrant out of the city of Loganville.
  • Welfare Check – E. Spring St. and Midland Ave. behind the old courthouse in reference to a W/F with an infant on location since this morning. Officer made contact with the subject.
  • Wanted Person – S. Madison Ave. – Southeast Corrections. Woman on location with an active probation violation warrant through Walton County Sheriff’s Office. She was under the influence of meth and having suicidal thoughts. While on location, Melissa attempted to grab a pair of scissors in attempt to cut her wrist. She was guided to the ground and detained. Melissa was released to EMS for a mental evaluation.
  • Assault report – W. Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Victim advised that they were assaulted last date. Report taken.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad St. in reference to complainant having her Larcin L25 firearm stolen out of her vehicle last date. Gun added on GCIC.
  • Agency Assist – W. Marable St. in reference to assisting Department of Family and Childre  nS who was out with juveniles left on location alone. DFCS needed assistance with finding the mother. Officer made contact with mother and she arrived on location. DFCS stated they were okay to proceed without further police assistance.
  • Dispute – Douglas St. Complainant advised the previous property manager did not record her rent payments and possibly stole her money. Report taken.
  • Burglary – Tanglewood Dr. Complainant stated that on September 9 someone came into her residence and stole a Playstation 4. She stated she believes it was two juveniles that live in the neighborhood. A serial number was not provided at the time of the incident. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Davis St. – Complainant informed 911 that subject was assaulted. Subject said she wasn’t assaulted and wanted the police to stop harassing her. Subject was intoxicated.
  • Suspicious Person – Walmart. Male on location who requested to be transported to his residence in the County. WCSO stated they were too busy to help with the transport. Subject transported by Officer.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Douglas Street. Complainant stated that a subject stole his son’s money this date when it fell out of his pocket. Two subjects were now wanting to fight with him. No one could provide any further information. Remedies were advised. Report declined.
  • Burglary – S. Broad St. – Unknown individual broke into complainants’ residence and took 4 Percocet’s and $30 in loose change.
  • Dispute – W. Highland Ave. -Two subjects on location in a verbal dispute over one of their unruly son. During the dispute, one subject was locked out of her bedroom, so she kicked in the door. Both denied physical contact. Report taken.
  • EMS Assist – N. Broad St. (Golden Pantry) – In reference to a female subject being under the influence of Methamphetamines while operating a vehicle at gas station. Arrested and charged with DUI.
  • Entering Auto – Maple Lane. In reference to complainants’ white Honda Civic tag being broken into overnight. 2 necklaces and a bottle of 180 count Lamotrigine medication was stolen. Report taken.
  • Entering Auto – N. Midland Ave.: In reference to complainant having his 2014 Toyota Tacoma broken into. A Smith & Wesson 45 M&P Shield handgun was taken. Report taken.
  • Domestic Dispute – N. Midland Ave.: In reference to two subject having a physical altercation. One was arrested and charged with simple battery and cruelty to animals.
  • Damage to Property – Baker St.: Complainant stated that the back glass sliding door and window was broken out by some rocks. Report taken.
  • Dispute – E. Church St. (Exceptional Community Services) A subject got into a physical altercation with a patient at the facility. The patient was arrested for Battery. Report taken.
  • Hit and Run – Arnold Properties – In reference to a two-vehicle collision. Both parties agreed to handle civilly. Only wanted to make sure other drivers were not intoxicated.
  • Accident – W. Spring St. – Walmart. 2 vehicles, no injuries. One subject was placed under arrest for a warrant out Athens Clarke County and charged with driving on a suspended license and no insurance. Report taken.
  • Dispute – Perry St. Report of males fighting in the area possibly armed. One subject was arrested for obstruction of officers.
  • Traffic accident – Hickory Dr; Single vehicle vs utility pole. No injuries, Monroe Utilities were notified due to the cable and power outage.
  • Burglary report – Pine Park St.; In reference to a PS4, game, change, and cigarettes taken from inside the residence between 1700-1900 hours. No forced entry observed.
