MPD Reports: Several mental health issues, suicide attempt and fight over the kitchen sink

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period May 31, 2019, to June 6, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Suspicious Activity – W. Spring St.: During an extended foot patrol of the area of W. Spring St, a subject was located on the roof of Monroe Family Dentistry sleeping. He was briefly detained before being sent on his way. Use of force report completed.
  • Dispute – Tall Oaks W.: Complainant on location requesting his girlfriend be removed from his residence. The girlfriend does not live at the residence according to the complainant. Parties separated, all ok.
  • Theft – Glen Iris Dr. – In reference to possible stolen handicap cart from Walmart. Report taken.
  • Dispute – E. Church St.: Subject was served with criminal trespass due to not being served from an incident in December.
  • Juvenile Complaint – S. Broad St.:  Complainant just wanted officers to speak to 9 and 10-year-old boys about behavior.
  • Theft – W. Marable St.: In reference to a previous case. Complainant is now missing a vehicle battery and radio out of the vehicle. A supplement will be added.
  • Mental Person – Holly Hill Rd.: ref: Subject not being on location and stating that a psychic told her that her house was on fire and the police were shooting at the house as well. A welfare check was conducted on the residence. All ok.
  • Suspicious Person – Barrett St. behind Walton Mill. Officer made contact with subject who was standing on the side of the road staring into the woods. Subject appeared to have mental issues, but all was ok.
  • Fake Money – E. Spring St. – Popeyes in reference to two twenty-dollar bills (Copy Money). The twenty-dollar bills were placed into evidence.
  • Warrant Attempt – Marable Lane in reference to locating a subject who had a Failure to Appear warrant through MPD. She was located, arrested, and transported to the Walton County Jail.
  • Found Property – Boulevard in reference to a John Deere D110 tractor found in resident’s driveway. The tractor did not come back stolen. The resident was advised of remedies and the officer will follow up next date.
  • Juvenile complaint – Knight St. Juveniles sprayed an individual with water while sitting on her front porch. Juveniles were gone on arrival. Options were advised.
  • Escort – in the area of Magnolia Terr, Pine Park/Lacy, and Monroe Estates.  Units escorted church busses through these areas after vacation bible schools.
  • Juvenile complaint – E. Spring St./ N. Broad.  Ref to juvenile softball players in a uniform conducting fundraiser. Call cleared by passing units. All ok
  • Suicide attempt – Davis St. Subject was checked by EMS. All ok
  • Traffic Stop – N. Broad St. near Tanglewood. The subject was arrested for probation violation warrant out of Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
  • Dispute – Towler St. between a Couple. The couple was going through a breakup up and working on separating. One made arrangements to leave for the night. All ok.
  • Discharging firearms – Lacy St. Area searched with negative contact.
  • EMS assist – E. Church St., Jack Peters Store. Ref to a female passed out behind store. The patient was Gone on EMS and PD arrival.
  • Fight – W. Spring St., Kentucky Fried Chicken. Employees fighting over the damaged kitchen sink, all ok.
  • Mental patient – E. Church St.. Complainant advised his name was put in the newspaper without his consent. The situation was resolved.
  • Discharging Firearms – W. Vine St., Conestoga MHP. Area checked ok
  • 911 Hang Up – N. Broad St. – Deer Acres Inn in reference to a subject consistently calling 911. He refused to advise of his room number and threatened to murder the dispatcher. Officers went door to door and had negative contact.
  • Theft Report – Cedar Lane. Complainant advised an unknown subject took approximately $5000 worth of miscellaneous tools from his residence between Saturday morning and Tuesday morning. Criminal Investigation Division was notified and responded.
  • Dispute – Alcovy St. in reference to two subjects in a verbal dispute on location. During the investigation, a marijuana plant was discovered in the back yard. Thomas Blackstock was arrested for the manufacture of marijuana. He was released to the Walton County Jail.
