MPD Reports: Subject allegedly on meth requests police look for people and transmitters in his yard

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 19 – 26, 2019. Due to the length, this was split into four parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – In reference to Justin Green attempting to return items taken from the shelf. All items returned to Walmart. No transaction occurred.  
  • Animal Complaint – Hwy 11 x Charolette Rowell in reference to a Goat near the roadway. Made contact with Goat outside a residence on Parkway Dr. and Hwy 11 and got it back in the gate.
  • Firearm – Sorrells St.: In reference to a black male with a firearm wearing blue pants black shoes, blue jacket and red hat. Made contact with the subject who did not have a firearm. Nothing further.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. – Beautyville in reference to a subject being on location who the store owner accuses of previously stole from the store. Supplemental Report added
  • Dispute – Booth Dr. in reference to a dispute between the complainant and her boyfriend.
  • Area Check -Carwood Dr; Subject was under the influence of meth and requested officers to check his yard for people or transmitters. The subject was advised to stop using meth.
  • Entering Auto – Ridge Rd. in reference to a car alarm going off but no entry made. No signs of entry in wet dew.  Area checked and nobody found to be in the area.  All ok.
  • Traffic stop – Church St. at Chestnut Dr. in reference to a traffic offense. The subject was placed under arrest for Possession of Schedule 1 and Possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
  • Warrant Attempt – 6th St. – Robert Scarborough arrested for outstanding Walton County Sheriff’s Office warrant.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St., Waffle House. A couple were in a physical altercation on Tanglewood Drive. No Family Violence charges due to conflicting stories. The male subject was arrested for a warrant out of WCSO. The female subject arrested for Driving While License Suspended by an officer and released after fingerprints.
  • Found property – W. Spring St., Piedmont Walton. Complainant reports his brother was admitted to the ER on an overdose and medical staff located unsubscribed fentanyl. Fentanyl was taken to be destroyed.
  • Juvenile Problem – Wells Fargo – Area checked for reports of juveniles climbing ladder and running around the building. None found.
  • Juvenile Complaint – E. Washington St – Mother reported that she found a boy hiding in her 15-year-old daughters closet when she got home.
  • Domestic Violence – E. Washington – Mother stated that her daughter slapped her in the face when she tried to spank her with a belt. There were no physical marks on mothers’ face. Daughter was advised a juvenile complaint form will be filled and for her to go and speak with the juvenile courts about getting her daughter into court sooner.
  • Discharging Firearms – Cook St – Cook Place – Report of discharging firearms in the area, none found. An abandoned silver revolver with a missing handle was found and turned into evidence.
  • Transport – W. Highland Ave. – A ride was given to two individuals to their apartment at N. Broad St. Upon our arrival, the one individual subject asked for EMS because her knee was swollen from her prosthetic leg.
