MPD Reports: Suspect arrested after inhaling ‘dust off’ keyboard cleaner

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Sept. 26 – Oct. 3, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the final part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Entering Auto – Amber Trail – In reference to the complainant having 2 of her vehicles gone through. Report Taken. 
  • Damage to Property – Garden Court: Complainant stated someone broke his back window out of his truck on September 30, 2019, between the hours of 1800 to 1900 hours.
  • Domestic Dispute – Tall Oaks W. Physical dispute between the complainant and a subject. Warrant to be taken on the subject for Family Violence battery and cruelty to children x 2.
  • Damage to Property – Hubbard St. Complainant claimed a subject on Hubbard St. threw mud on her car and caused a ding on the trunk. Report taken.
  • Missing Person – Lacy St.: Subject went missing from his residence. Officer located him on Madison Ave. The subject was given a ride to Piedmont Walton Hospital to get evaluated.
  • Meet With – MPD – In reference to questions about a shared storage unit. Advised on options.
  • Suspicious Person – S. Madison Ave.: Complainant stated a black male who she didn’t know was with her patients. Made contact with an individual who is the subject officer was looking for. The subject was given a ride to Piedmont Hospital.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton): The Nurse claimed the subject was acting out. Upon Officer arrival, everything was okay.
  • Civil Issue – MPD – In reference complainant having mail not returned to her from a residence she was evicted from. Report taken.
  • Dispute – E. Spring St. (Taylors Wrecker Service): Complainant stated that he has a patron trying to move items from his vehicle that he signed the title away and it was against company policy. The situation was mediated.
  • Missing Person – Hubbard St. in reference to a subject missing since last Friday. Placed on GCIC.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St. (Murphy USA): Complainant stated she got into a verbal argument with another patron about being disrespectful. Other party was gone on arrival.
  • Drug Activity – Elm Pl. Complainant stating that there is a subject on location possibly doing drugs. Turned over to Joint Ops.
  • Burglary – Alcovy St. in reference to someone broke the side window, entered the residence and stole a ladder and drop cords between September 28, 2019, and this date. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Spruce Ln. – In reference to subjects’ vehicle being keyed. Report taken.
  • Juvenile complaint – Manor Pl. @ Meadow Walk Dr. in reference to an issue on a County School Bus. Turned over to WCSO.
  • Damage to property – Spruce Ln. – in reference to a car that was damaged in the Walmart Parking Lot. Report Made
  • Mental Health – Piedmont Walton ER. in reference to a patient being disorderly. The situation resolved as Law Enforcement Officer arrived. All ok.
  • Dispute – W. 5th St. Verbal dispute between neighbors over dog. All ok
  • Fire Assist – S. Broad St. In reference to illegal burning. Upon arrival subject with the possible warrant would not come to the door. Officers approached again a short time later and the male subject fled from the yard on foot resulting in a foot pursuit. Subject was not located, and warrants are to be taken upon positive identification.
  • Dispute – Pine Crest Dr. in reference to a subject and his roommate wanting each other to leave. Options were advised.
  • Traffic stop -Walker Dr; A subject was arrested and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude and city ordinance disorderly conduct following a traffic stop.
  • Juvenile Issue – E. Marable at Matthews Park in reference to 12-year-old female needing to go home. Turned over to her mother.
  • Animal Complaint – Towler St. in reference to a bat flying around the living room. No contact with bat.
  • Suspicious person – E. Fambrough. St. In reference to complainant reporting subject brandishing a firearm at her children at the bus stop. Report taken.
  • Fraud – S. Broad St., MPD Lobby. In reference to complainant stating she received a phone call from Social Security advising her number was involved in illegal activity in Texas. She was advised that it is a scam. She stated she did not provide them with her information.
  • Lobby report – S. Broad St., MPD. Complainant from Magnolia call above left after asking police to come to her residence and called again from the police department to report a gun taken from her residence. No serial number available at the time of the call.
  • Suspicious person – E. Fambrough St. Ref to subject from this morning back at the school bus stop brandishing a gun. Several juveniles on location following drop off of school bus. Negative contact.
  • Theft report – Spruce Ln. Victim not on location. Advised will return when she is ready to file a report.
  • Juvenile Complaint – Sherwood Dr. Complainant having issues with his 13-year-old nephew. Ongoing issue. Situation mediated. All ok.
  • Escort – S. Madison Ave., Felker Park. Ref: to booster club collecting a large amount of cash at the concession stand.
  • Intoxicated Person – in the area of Walton Road and John Deere Road, Subject was found on the side of the roadway inhaling “Dust-Off” keyboard cleaner (Compressed Gas.) Jamie had THC oil in her possession. Subject was arrested for possession of schedule I controlled substance.
  • Entering Auto – Ford St. Complainant advised that his wallet was stolen from his truck between 1100 and 1800 hours while it was parked in Camptown Gardens.
  • Theft Report – 4th St. In reference to shoes being taken off the front porch. Report denied. Extra patrol requested for night time hours.
  • Suspicious Person – Vine St.; – Sally Ellis reported juveniles attempting to open trailer doors that appeared vacant, area checked and no contact had with juveniles.
  • Suicide Threats – Overlook Trail – In reference to a 15-year -old posting threats to harm himself. He was transported to Piedmont Walton by his parents.
  • Dispute – E. Church St. – Complainant reported a girl she had supper with was upset over not paying for her meal. She said the girl threatened her. She was advised to avoid contact with her.
  • Dispute – W. Washington St.-Two subjects involved in a domestic dispute. No crimes or primary aggressor could be determined. Parties separated for the night.
