MPD Reports: Suspect arrested for armed robbery; second suspect sought

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for March 21 – 27, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  • Warrant Served – ref.: Deion Davis Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office for Violation of Probation. Warrant Served, report taken.
  • Entering Auto – MPD Lobby.The complainant advised that his vehicle was entered some time throughout the night. No items were taken. He did not want a report but just wanted to let the police know.
  • Damage to Property – Harris St.: Complainant stated she came to show this property and discovered the back window door was damaged. Report Taken.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – S. Madison Ave. (Felker Park): Complainant stated he saw a red Ford F-150 parked in the woods behind the football field. Supplement Report made in original case.
  • Entering Auto – Fairway Dr. Complainant advised her dad’s pick up was entered at some point last night and a checkbook was missing. Report Taken.
  • Fraud – MPD: Complainant pawned the title to her vehicle at Frogs Pawn in 08/2018. The complainant said recently due to totaling her vehicle in January she has been waiting on settlement payment.  The complainant said an employee with Frogs Pawn subject signed or initialed her name on a power of attorney and notarized it to submit to her insurance company.  Report taken.
  • Domestic – Marable St.: Complainant advised Willie Herron threatened to kill her. Willie left before officer’s arrival but was ultimately located and arrested for a Failure to Appear warrant out of Athens Clark County. Report taken.
  • Armed Robbery – Towler St. Complainant was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint.  Garry Watson was later located and detained. He would later be arrested for Armed Robbery, there is another suspect currently at large.
  • Harassing Phone Calls – S. Broad St. in reference to complainant being harassed by his current roommate/ex-girlfriend via text and Facebook. Report taken.
  • Area Check – Turner St. in reference to a large party causing a disturbance. The party was broken up upon officer’s arrival.
  • Damage to Property – Harris St. Complainant stated his ex-girlfriend cut a subjects’ tire on her vehicle. Report Taken.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): Loss Prevention had a subject in the office for shoplifting. Report Taken.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St.: Suspect was arrested for shoplifting and released on a copy of the citation.
