The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Oct. 8 – 15, 2020. Due to the length, the report was split into five parts. This is the fourth part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Suspicious Person – East Spring Street – a black male panhandling on location. Contact made with subject walking away from the store advising he was only looking for a ride.
Dispute – East Marable Street – Woman was giving subject a ride and she wanted him out of the vehicle. Subjects’ belongings were returned to him. Parties separated.
Disable Vehicle) – South Madison Avenue and East Church Street a vehicle blocking traffic. Vehicle was removed by Taylors.
Dispute – E Church St. (Jack Peters) – Employee on location advised that subject on location and has a Temporary Protection Order preventing him from being on location. He was gone when officers arrived. The TPO was not on file. Remedies advised.
Harassment/TPO Violation – Palmer Court wife receiving text messages from her ex-husband.
Warrant – Stowers St – In reference to escorting three Gwinnet County Sheriff’s Office deputies to look for a wanted person.
Prowler – Gatewood Dr – In reference to homeowner hearing a noise behind her house, area checked, no contact, all appeared ok.
Animal Complaint – Old Mill Point – two canines loose in the area. Contact was made with the complainant and remedies advised.
Damage to Property – Bridgeport. Complainant reported damage to his vehicle while parked at this residence sometime last date. Report taken.
Dispute – Towler St – Complainant stated she needed her belongings from her boyfriend’s residence, no one on location to let her inside, remedies advised.
Dispute – Old Mill Point. Complainant on location attempting to collect belongings. Situation mediated.
Suspicious Person – Court St & Broad St. -In reference to an unknown white male subject yelling at people in the area. Negative contact.
Unknown – Tanglewood Drive the complainant said his mother called him crying and believes she was having a seizure. Turned over to EMS
Damage to Property – Green Street; B. Complainant reported her bedroom window broken sometime in the past two weeks. No items missing or other damage to property, report taken.
Disturbance – E. Fambrough St. Resident complained about her adult son causing a disturbance, as he wanted to enter the house. She did not want him in the house due to past incidents. Subject left before officers arrived.
Fraud – S. Broad Street. Complainant reported a user on social media gained access to her bank account and stealing $150.00. Report taken.
Fraud – S. Broad Street; Monroe PD. Complainant reported a hit and run prior to this report, report made.
Theft Report – Plaza Drive. In reference to an adult bicycle stolen off the front porch. Complainant wanted Officers know two bikes he found last week was stolen from his yard. Jon did not want a report done.
Dispute – E 5th St – In reference to a resident wanting to get some belonging from the residence, Officers stood by as she gathered some of her things and left. All ok.
Suspicious Vehicle – East Marable Street a parked vehicle in park, Driver was advised on park hours. All ok
Other Law – Etten Drive – Subject extremely intoxicated and passed out in the back yard. Remedies advised.
Suspicious Vehicles – Highway 138 (Tractor Supply) – In reference to juveniles in pickup trucks playing loud music. Subjects were dispersed.
Suspicious Person – E Spring St Subject on location asking for money. Advised to stay off location.
Theft Report – W Spring St (Walmart to some taking a tire out of a bed of a truck and replacing it with another. Report taken. –
Dispute – Ridge Rd -Dispute between two subjects. It was alleged physical abuse, however insufficient probable cause for warrants/arrest. Remedies advised and report taken.
