The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 9 – 16, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Other law – N. Broad St.(Greystone Church): In reference to a vehicle on the side of the building that was involved in an accident / with a deer. Contact was made with the driver / owner. Vehicle will be removed later on this date.
Entering Auto – Baker St. in reference to a suspect entered an unlocked Chevrolet Trail Blazer and stole money, driver’s license, cash and medication.
EMS Assist – Davis St. in reference to a vehicle falling on a subject while underneath it. Turned over to EMS.
Extra Patrol – Great Oaks Dr. (Reddy Urgent Care) in reference to vehicles driving recklessly and speeding in the parking lot Monday thru Friday.
EMS Assist – W. Spring St. (WALMART) in reference to subject overdosing on narcotics and unconscious in the bathroom. The subject was turned over to EMS.
Traffic Stop – Felker St. at E. Spring St. Traffic stop on a GMC Yukon. Probable cause search was conducted and located a pistol in the vehicle. The driver and passenger did not know who the pistol belonged to because they found it. The pistol was taken and placed into Property & Evidence.
Found Property – Ridge Rd. in reference to suspected marijuana being located near a bush. The substance was only a burned cigarette.

Welfare Check – S. Madison Ave. in reference to an elderly patient requesting for help over the phone. Contact made with the resident, all okay.
Civil Issue – N. Broad St. (MPD) subject wanted to make a report on a person that would not give him the title of his vehicle after he gave him the money. This incident happened in Lawrenceville. He was advised he needs to go to Lawrenceville Police Department.
Hit & Run – Hubbard St. / E. Spring St.: Victim stated a silver passenger vehicle collided into her back bumper and the black male subject left the scene.
Damage to Property – E. Washington St. -In reference to a damaged Mini Cooper, upon inspection there was no damage to the vehicle. A small piece held on by a clip fell off of the vehicle.
Juvenile Complaint – S. Broad St. in reference to 11-year-old acting unruly. Remedies were advised.
Domestic Problem – Plaza Trace: In reference to subject damaging the back door. The
Dispute – S. Madison Ave. Reference to two subjects Disputing over communication between one subject and a 3rd party. The subject was gone in the other
Threats – Wilkinson Drive. Mobile Crisis stated the caller was having suicidal thoughts. Contact was made and caller stated she was just sad and would wait for Mobile Crisis personnel to arrive.
Found Property – W. Fambrough; In reference to a wallet found on the side of W. Fambrough St. Possibly belonging to a named subject. Unable to locate any information on the subject.
Juvenile Problem – Douglas St; Two juvenile brothers were involved in a physical altercation. Situation was mediated, parents stated they would handle the issue at home. One juvenile was in possession of marijuana, no charges taken.
Fight – Davis St. Reference to two women getting into a physical altercation and deploying pepper spray in a large group. They were arrested and charged with Affray.
Suspicious Vehicle – HWY 78 & E. Spring – In reference to a Semi failing to maintain lane call in by civilian. Failing to maintain lane observed, Driver pulled over and a
Suspicious Person – Piedmont – Walton. reference to a patient walking away from facility possible mental. The patient had been discharged from
Temporary Protention Order violation – Tall Oaks. reference to complainant receiving harassing messaged via social media from ex-husband. Report
Suspicious Vehicle – Clubside Plantation. Car parked in the entrance turn lane to Clubside Plantation. Area was searched for evidence of entering auto. Negative contact. Driver was sent on her way.
Suspicious Vehicle – Davis & Bell St. Subject on a 49cc scooter extremely intoxicated. Processed and released on copy of citation for DUI.
Mental Patient – W. Spring St. (Piedmont Walton): Staff called in reference to an unruly patient. Situation mediated.
Entering Auto – N. Broad St. (Across from Golden Pantry): In reference to someone going through the company truck. Report taken.
Stolen Auto – Harvest Lane in reference to two entering autos and a Kia Soul stolen from residence.
Vehicle Collision – Sorrells St.: In reference to two vehicles colliding in the roadway. Two patients transported to Piedmont Walton. One was arrested for driving under
Loud Music – Magnolia Ter. in reference to meet with complainant because her neighbor is harassing her by being loud. Subject was asked to quiet down if they were being loud.
Dispute – Hwy 78 (Truck Stop): In reference to the store clerk refusing service. Situation was mediated. Complainant was advised to not to come back on to the property after today. All Okay
Animal complaint – E. Wheel House Lane in reference to an injured canine. Turned over to Animal Control.
Damage to Property -Carver Place in reference to complainant having her 2005 Jeep Cherokee spray painted during the night.
Domestic Problem – W. Spring St. (Wal-Mart): In reference to complainant’s ex-husband coming up to her place of employment and causing a scene. Report made.
