MPD Reports: Unruly juvenile complaints, domestic disputes and Tylenol overdose

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period Dec. 19 – 26, 2019. Due to the length, this report was split into four parts. This was the second part. Please note an arrest or charge doesn’t constitute a conviction.

  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St., Walmart. In reference to a black female wearing a red shirt and blue jeans attempting to leave the store with a shopping cart full of items. The amount came to a total of $424.39. The Female subject was gone on arrival. Area check conducted with negative contact. Report taken.
  • Prisoner transport – Alcovy St., State Probation. The subject was transported to the WC Jail for parole violation warrant. 19M031626
  • Warrant attempt – Douglas St. Attempted contact with Samual Cronan who has several felony drug warrants and was wanted for questioning. Consent was given to search residence for Cronan. Cronan was not on location. Meth was located and search warrant for residence written. Anthony Hughes was arrested for possession of meth and questioned by CID.
  • Dispute – Kings St. In reference to the complainant being involved in a physical altercation with her boyfriend. The boyfriend was gone on arrival. The complainant had no visible marks and advised the altercation was mutual. Report taken.
  • Robbery – N. Broad St., Matson Food Mart in reference to an unknown b/m snatching $100 from the store owners’ hands and fled on foot towards GW Carver Homes.
  • Follow up – GW Carver. Ref to the previous robbery call. Consent to search was given. Gerldmon Smith and Quantrail Rowland arrested for WCSO warrants. Negative contact with male suspects from robbery.
  • Dispute – W. Spring St; Walmart – Parties arguing over custody issues. Parties separated.
  • Extra Patrol – S. Madison Ave. – extra patrol requested due to thefts in the area. Area checked throughout the night
  • EMS Asst – S. Broad St. – Subject reportedly took too much Tylenol. Turned over to EMS.
  • Dispute – E. Church; Chevron – Two were involved in a physical dispute. One was arrested for Battery Family Violence. For inflicting visible cuts on the other’s neck and forearm.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Hammond Park – A subject was identified as the driver of the vehicle within the park. Marijuana was discovered within the vehicle.  He was issued a citation.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. – Complainant was having a dispute with his unruly daughter about not letting her stay the night at her friend. The daughter was advised that because she was only 15 she had to fallow her parents’ rules.
  • Assault – W. Spring St. – Complainant reported that her ex-girlfriend came over to her house on Tuesday, 12/17/19 and got into an argument. During the argument, complainant shoved friend causing her to fall and hit her back. There were no witnesses at the time of the altercation.
  • Dispute – Perry St – Two parties in a verbal dispute over past relationships. Parties mediated
  • Disturbing the Peace – Pinecrest Dr.- Loud music heard by the Officer.  Homeowner was advised to tuthe rn music down for the night.
  • Juvenile Complaint – E. Washington Mother reported her daughter being unruly. Juvenile complaint form filed.
  • Theft – Masters Dr.- Complainant stated he went to the area of Ashton Pointe in reference to a fight. While on location “Jay Byrd” stole a gun out of his vehicle which belongs to complainants’ dad.  The dad was not on location due to being on a cruise.  No serial number was given at the time of the call.
