The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following incidents for the period July 16 – 23, 2020. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the second part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.
Loud music – Magnolia Ter. – Complainants neighbor had loud music coming from residence. Music was turned down and situation mediated.
Harassing call – Ridge Rd In reference to ex-wife sending unwanted emails. Remedies advised. All ok.
Dispute – Amber Tr. In reference to male and female arguing. Complainant advised that she was involved in a dispute with her husband that became physical. There were no signs of injury or of a physical altercation present on scene. Second party left scene prior to arrival. Report taken.
Harassment/Dispute – Davis St. In reference to a text message. The subject was able to retrieve items inside the residence. The subject was also advised of the civil process. All ok
Dispute – Sporty Ln In reference to male on scene causing a disturbance. Father came home from Taco Bell and observed his son highly upset. Son was intoxicated and went into his bedroom to go to sleep without incident.
Suspicious person – Booth Dr. – In reference to Officer observing three juveniles in the area. Juveniles ran from Officers and were caught a short time later. It was determined that they had not committed any crimes and were turned over to parents.
EMS assist – Green St. In reference to a
Illegal parking – Court St. Ref to moving vehicles for the Farmers Market, all ok.
Theft Report – Wellington Dr. Caller found missing medication prior to officers’ arrival.
Agency assist – South Hammond Dr. and Cherokee Ave. Walton County Sheriff’s Office requested area check for a black Nissan titan involved in a threat report. Vehicle located at Walmart, Turned over to WCSO.
Entering auto – East Washington St. Blk Dodge Ram entered. New Ceiling Fan
Shoplifting – South Broad St., CVS. Ref to a b/m taking merchandise, report completed.
Missing person – Ash St. Male reported missing since Wednesday. Report
Intoxicated Person – West Spring St., Murphy USA. Ref to a subject, very intoxicated. Turned over to EMS and transported.
Harassment – Claywheel Cir. Cousins arguing over someone else’s sexual orientation. Report done by request.
Theft report – West Spring St., Home Depot. Complainant advised stolen credit card used at this location.
Civil issue – Hill St. Resident requested advice about car he shares with his son.
Civil Issue – Davis St. Subject showed up to get birth certificate, received it and her clothes. Parties separated All ok
Shoplifting – West Spring St., Pizza Hut. Customer left without paying for pizzas. He agreed to return and the store did not wish to press charges.
Abandoned vehicle – East Marable St. and Bryant Rd. Ref to a vehicle left unoccupied in the roadway. Taylor’s removed the vehicle.
EMS assist – Breedlove Dr., Ridgeview Mental Health. Patient Turned over to EMS
Animal complaint – W Spring St. Tokyo. In reference to K9 in vehicle. Contact made with owner of K9 and welfare of the animal was checked. Appropriate measures of leaving a K9 in an unattended vehicle were discussed. All ok.
Shoplifting – Martin Luther King Jr Blvd. Tractor Supply- Staff suspected two subjects of shoplifting. Contact made with subjects in parking lot. No signs that a crime was committed.
Dispute – Maple Ln. In reference to a male attempting to bust windows out of a
Dispute/Juvenile Issue – Atha St. In reference to complainant disputing with her daughter. Complainant was advised of remedies. Juvenile went back inside the residence. All ok
Shoplifting – W Spring St. Walmart. A female subject was taken into custody and released on copy for shoplifting. The r
Traffic Stop/Escort – Pine Park St and Lacy St. Vehicle was stopped for a tail light violation. Upon walking up to the passenger window of the car, a female subject was in the process of labor. The vehicle was escorted to Piedmont Walton and turned over to the medical staff.
