MPD Reports: Woman in school pick up line charged with DUI, drug possession

The City of Monroe Police Department reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Sept. 12 – 19, 2019. Due to the length, this report has been split into five parts. This is the first part. Please note an arrest or charge does not constitute a conviction.

  •  Dispute – Baron Dr.: In reference to Complainant complaining about subjects’ children coming over on to complainants’ property and possibly damaging the mailbox. The situation was mediated. All okay. 
  • Scam – S. Broad St.: Complainant stated that someone from MPD called her stating that she needed to get $400 on a Walmart card in which she gave to the person representing MPD. the phone number that she received the call from was to MPD. Report taken. Criminal Investigation Division was notified. 1926174
  • Dispute – S. Madison Ave: Complainant was complaining that the staff would not let her take a shower due to her leaving her animals in the vehicle. Situation mediated.
  • Dispute – Hickory Dr. A physical dispute between two subjects. The report was taken due to conflicting stories.
  • Follow Up – S. Broad St.: Complainant advised she went to Walmart and had more information to add. Supplemental added.
  • Neighbor Dispute – Green St.: Two subjects had a dispute with each other. One subject the other subject put hands on her. Report was taken.
  • Threat – E. Fambrough St.: In reference to complainant stating that subject was threatening to assault him. The complainant wanted this incident to be documented. Report taken.
  • Intoxicated Person – 1 Bulldog Dr. – In reference to a subject being intoxicated in pick up lanes. Arrested for driving under the influence and open container. Multiple Schedule IV pills located on the subject at the jail. Warrants taken for DUI, Open container and Possession of Schedule IV narcotics.
  • Suspicious Person – Vine St. (Monroe Metal): The Complainant advised a white male with a black shirt carrying a black bag in the area around closing time. request extra patrol during the overnight hours.
  • Suspicious Person – Alcovy St.; Subject on location off her medication having conversations with flower pots. She was given a courtesy ride back to her residence on Holly Hill Rd.
  • DUI – W. Spring St. Walmart; Subject reported a hit and run accident in the parking lot. Investigation revealed that the subject himself struck a pole in the Murphy’s gas station parking lot. He was arrested for DUI alcohol less safe.
  • Shoplifting – N. Broad St. Upon arrival subjects were gone. Clerk wishes to criminally trespass if they return. All ok.
  • Entering Auto – Felker Park. In reference to GMC Acadia with forced entry. Orange purse with cellphone and wallet taken. Report made.
  • Dispute – N. Broad St. in reference to complainant disputing with her mother. Warrants taken on the mother for reckless conduct. Report made.
  • Agency Assist – E. Church St. In reference to making contact with family of a subject who Social Circle was out with. Contact made with grandparents who were en route to Social Circle. All ok.
  • Mental Subject – Old Mill Point in reference to a subject bothering his sister and throwing urine on the floor. He was Turned over to EMS and transported to Piedmont Athens.
  • Entering Auto – Sporty Lane. In reference to complainant reporting three vehicles entered. Only items take was loose change from one vehicle. Prints were lifted from one vehicle on location. The other vehicles were gone on arrival. Report taken.
  • Follow Up – Pine Park St. Reference to new information for a burglary report. The complaint discovered that the back window screen was ripped out and there were fingerprints on the glass. Supplemental added to the original report.
  • Shoplifting – W. Spring St., Family Dollar. In reference to two subjects shoplifting and last seen traveling on foot towards Plaza Drive. Warrants were taken on one for Theft by Shoplifting and the other for Parties to a Crime.
  • Lost Item / Theft Report – W. Spring S., McDonalds in reference to complainant reporting her Samsung Galaxy Cell Phone stolen. Report taken.
  • Entering Auto – S. Broad St., MPD Lobby. In reference to complainant reporting her purse missing from her vehicle. She resides at Glen Iris Dr. She stated there were no signs that the vehicle was entered other than her purse missing. Report taken.
  • Damage to Property – Hubbard St. in reference to a complainant having her 2013 Hyundai Sonata damaged earlier this week.
