Obituary and funeral arrangements: Christopher Sean Nolan, 45

He was known as Sean and born November 9, 1971 at Ft. Benning Army Hospital to Marilyn M. Nolan and M. L. Nolan. He is survived by his wife, Tonya L. Nolan, son Christopher Bryce Nolan, and daughter Bailee N. Nolan. Also his brother Scott Nolan, his mother, his father. He became an avid Florida Gator fan at 10 years of age and never ever changed his support of the team! Sean also loved to cheer for the Social Circle Redskins, Atlanta Falcons and Braves, as well as any team his children were on. He was a devoted husband and father who led by example and always put Christ first. He wanted his children to share his experiences and travels. He loved to cook and try new ways to prepare anything on the grill or stove. Sean was a very active member of Monroe Church of God who ran the audio system like a pro, taught Sunday school, was a Youth leader, part of the cooking team, Men’s Fellowship Group and a leader of the Upward program. He loved his church family. Additionally he coached Bryce’s baseball and football teams. Later he also coached several travel baseball teams. Bryce’s Middle School baseball team was undefeated the year Sean was the assistant coach.

After almost two years of fighting esophageal cancer and related complications, Sean passed away on June 17, 2017. We had prayed for more time together, but God has a better plan for him. Now we will continue to watch the Gators in his honor and remember him dearly. Please know that time is precious and shouldn’t be wasted carelessly. Tell your family and friends you love them.
