Francis Partain, age 69, of Loganville passed away on Friday, August 18, 2017. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Pastor Rodney Hall & Rev. Mickey Oliver will be officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Partain is preceded by his granddaughter: Madison Partain and Daughter-in-Law: Kim M. Partain. Mr. Partain is survived by; wife of 50 years: Helen Kay Partain, Loganville; son & daughter-in-law: Brian & Tonya Partain, Loganville; son & daughter-in-law: Daniel & Kimberly Partain, Decatur; daughter & son-in-law: Melanie & Bryan Harrison, Dacula; grandchildren: Michael & Kaylee Partain, Emily & Abby Brannon. Although he passed away, he did not lose his battle with cancer. He fought as hard as he could, even when it was clear that he did not want to. He never gave in. He never surrendered. He fought so hard because he wanted to be with the family that he loved, and because he was a highly decorated Marine Corps Veteran who proudly served in the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time gardening, cooking, and making his famous pepper jelly. Mr. Partain was also a car enthusiast and was a great story teller.
