Jesse Calvin Ledford, Jr. age 75 of Monroe, formerly of Dacula, passed away peacefully Thursday, November 14, 2019. He was born to J.C. Ledford, Sr. and Wilma C. Ledford. Calvin was preceded in death by his two children, Teresa Ann Ledford and Jesse C. Ledford, III, his dad, J.C. Ledford, Sr., and his mom, Wilma C. Ledford. He went to Clarkston High School and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, in Cedartown, GA. Calvin loved his family, especially the Grands. He also loved horses and John Wayne, but most of all he loved God. He was the owner of J&C Steel, Inc. He was the best husband, Daddy, Poppa, Big Daddy, Heavy and Uncle Coggy. This world was a great place with him in it. His desire was for his children to walk in truth and for all his family and friends to know the love of God. He wanted everyone to love God and accept Him as their Lord and Savior, so he could meet you in Heaven! He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Ledford. His children, Jan & Doug Cronic of Bethlehem, GA; Teresa Mayo of Dacula, GA; Johnny & Jamie Ledford of Monroe, GA; Deborah & Bob Atha of Monroe, GA; Grandchildren, Christina Hendrix of Winder, GA; Jeremy Ledford of Jacksonville, FL; Roger & Angie Cronic of Bishop, GA; Kelby & Kellie Cronic of Commerce, GA; Tasha & Jenn Mayo of Portal, GA; Joshua Mayo, Edgewater, FL; Chelsea & Ethan Trawick of Dallas, GA: Caysea & Jake Baggs of Smyrna, GA; Jessica Atha and Faith-Ann Atha of Monroe, GA; Great-Grandchildren, Alannah Ledford; Colton Ledford; Landree Hendrix; Phoenix Ledford; Bricen Watkins, Shannon Richie; Austin Cronic; Zachary Cronic; Madison Cronic; Mia Cronic; Maddox Cronic; sister & brother-in-law, Brenda & Jimmy Lee; brothers & sisters-in-law, Jackie & Sandra Ledford; Keith & Lynn Ledford; brother-in-law & sister-in-law, Johnny & Lois Townsend; special caregiver, Tammy Jackson; goddaughter, Tiffany Mosley; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts & uncles. A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 16, 2019, in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, with Rev. Ralph Baker officiating.
