Marilyn Hearn Miller, age 79, of Rome, Georgia, passed away at noon on Monday, September 2, 2019, at the Assured Hospice Care Center in Cartersville, Georgia.
Marilyn was born in Monroe, Georgia on October 4, 1939, the daughter of the late Erastus Palmer Hearn and Marie Malcolm Hearn.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and infant children. She is survived by David, her husband of 57 years; son, John, of Bethlehem; son, Michael, of Rome.
The Millers married in 1962 and began mission work to the Quechua Indians, and Auca Indians, indigenous people near Tena, Ecuador. David and Marilyn continued their work for a total of 40 years: 20 years in Ecuador, 10 years in Colombia, and 10 years in Costa Rica.
A memorial service will be held at Second Avenue Baptist Church in Rome, Georgia, on Sept. 17 at 1:00 P.M.
