Obituary and funeral service: Paul ‘PL’ Slocum, 73, of Loganville

Paul “P.L.” Slocum, age 73 of Loganville, GA, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020. A Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Lee officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM prior to the service. Paul was a United States Army Vietnam Veteran. He retired in 1998 as a Lieutenant with DeKalb County Fire Rescue with over 30 years of service. Paul owned several small businesses over the years – painting, lawn care and a handyman. He was a jack of all trades and a master of none. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Paul was preceded in death by his parents, Hoyt Exford and Valter (Roach) Slocum; brothers, Tommy Lee Slocum and Marshall L. Slocum. He is survived by his daughter and son in law, Michelle and Daniel McGiboney of Loganville; spouse, Terresa Fulcher of Loganville; sister and brother in law, Sharon and Larry Etheridge of Loganville; sister, Charlotte Hawkins of Loganville; sister and brother in law, Brenda and Norman Fowler of Bethlehem; brother and sister in law, Marvin and Camilla Slocum of Millidgeville; brothers, Elmer J. Slocum of FL, Stanley Slocum of Eatonton, and Jerry D. Slocum of Millidgeville; step daughter and son in law, Tiffany and Jody Lee of Jefferson, step sons and daughters in law, Scott and Michelle Fulcher of McDonough and Brandon and Jeanie Fulcher of Oxford; grandchildren, Killian Hoyt Powers, Danielle McGiboney, Kara McGiboney, Jonathan Lee, Meghan Harrison, Mallory Whitson, Nicholas Fulcher, Billy Fulcher, Haley Fulcher, Savannah Fulcher,Braedon Fulcher, Jacob Fulcher, Jacob, Taylor and Logan; 21 nieces and nephews; numerous family and friends.
