George Benton Boyce, 88, of Loganville, Georgia passed away Thursday, November 14, 2019, after a brief illness.
George was born on September 2, 1931, in Fannin County, Georgia to William Thomas & Lucinda Elizabeth Carson Boyce. George moved his family to Loganville in 1971. He retired from Overnight Transportation Company in 1993, where he had worked as a shop foreman. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Martha Tweedell, and brothers, JT Boyce and Waymon Boyce. George is survived by his wife, Ida Kirkland Boyce and children and their spouses, Derrick & Regina Boyce of Loganville, Denise & Oscar Brown of Loganville, and Dwayne & Kathy Boyce of Covington. He leaves behind one brother, Robert Boyce of Savannah. Other survivors include seven grandchildren and their spouses, Heather Boyce, Austin & Kristi Boyce, Nathan Boyce, Brent & Katie Brown, Kristen & Chris White, Zachery Pugh, and Kyle Boyce. He also leaves eight great-grandchildren, Mason Boyce, Hannah Boyce, Caden Brown, Elayna Brown, Gracie Brown, Chase Brown, Reagan Brown, and Aurora Boyce and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a graveside service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Corinth Memorial Gardens, 1635 Highway 81 South, Loganville, GA. Don Hardison will officiate. Please keep the family in your prayers.
