Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Herbert Myers, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Green Myers; brother, Charles Hugh Myers; sisters, Patty Myers, Maxine Molly Myers Baxley, and Kathryn Thomas; sister-in-law, Sibyl Chandler; father & mother-in-law, Rev. Mack Moore and Mrs. Drue Willie Grizzle Moore; son-in-law, Dan Dudenhoeffer.
Mrs. Moore was born on May 12, 1933 in Loganville, Georgia. She graduated from Loganville High School and married Mack Preston Moore on December 24, 1951. She was a shining example of a devoted minister’s wife. Mrs. Moore and Dr. Moore served their Lord and Savior for over 56 years together in six different churches. Dr. & Mrs. Moore were called to serve Peachtree Road Baptist Church (the former Old Field Baptist Church) on June 13, 1965. They served faithfully there for 45 years until Dr. Moore & Mrs. Moore retired as Senior Pastor & Pastor’s Wife in June of 2010. They both continued their service to the Lord for another eight years until their retirement. Retirement was really a word that Dr. & Mrs. Moore did not recognize. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, proud grandmother to Preston the II, sister and friend. She is now sitting at the right hand of her Lord and Savior. Everyone that knew Mrs. Moore is saying, “Well done good and faithful servant.” She will be deeply missed by her adoring family, especially Brother Preston, as he said “she took my heart with her.”
