Lawson Arnold Sewell, age 89 of Loganville passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. He was born in Atlanta, GA. Lawson was preceded in death by his mother & father, Jessie Inman & Mary Etta Sewell; his wife of 54 years, Rose Marie Sewell; & brother: Grady Inman.He is a graduate of Tech High School, Atlanta and was a WWII Navy veteran. Lawson was elected Vice President, President & Secretary-Treasurer of Local 3204 Communications Workers of America, Atlanta. He retired from Southern Bell Telephone and Telegraph Co. after 37 years. Lawson was a member of American Legion Post 233 and Center Hill Baptist Church, Loganville. Surviving are: sister: Mary Evangeline Almand; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, all in Georgia & California.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to your favorite veteran memorial. Funeral services will be held at 12 PM on Friday, May 26, 2017 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home: 300 Simonton Rd. SW Lawrenceville, GA 30046. 770-962-3100.
