They are survived by their son and daughter-in-law, Greg & Janet Pridgen, their daughter and son-in-law, Greg and Angie Brooks, as well as their 3 grandsons, Kyle, Kevin and Andrew Pridgen.
Don was born on August 21, 1924 in Wilmington, NC. Lorene was born on March 26, 1927 in Kenley, NC. They met and fell in love while working at the Atlantic Coastline Railroad, and married on May 3rd, 1952. They enjoyed many activities together including dancing at big band concerts on the boardwalk, bowling, and playing card games with friends. Don was transferred multiple times with his job as a Sales Manager for CSX, and they made many friends in the places they landed. They finally settled in Atlanta, GA in 1966. Lorene received her real estate license in 1970, and went on to become a Lifetime Million Dollar Club member. When Don retired from the railroad, he joined Lorene in the real estate business. They moved to Loganville, GA in 2001 where they eventually retired and lived out the rest of their happy lives together.
Mr. & Mrs. Pridgen were members of Snellville Baptist Church. They made many friends there, and everyone knew that seeing their friends in Sunday school class was the highlight of their week.
They always enjoyed spending time with family, especially their 3 grandsons who were the delight of their hearts.
They will be greatly missed by all who knew them, but especially by their children and grandchildren. The family is comforted by the knowledge that Don and Lorene are now in their heavenly home, forever loved and cared for by the Father.
