Marjorie Little Sharp, age 87, of Monroe, GA, passed away February 24, 2018, at her home.
She was born on November 29, 1930, in Monroe, GA to Watson and Minnell Adcock Richardson. Mrs. Sharp was a lifelong member of Union Chapel United Methodist Church. She graduated from Monroe High School in 1948, and was married to Charles Little, until his death in 1970. She retired from full time employment with Walton Electric Membership Corporation in 1993, after 31 years of service and returned to work part time until 1999.
Mrs. Sharp was predeceased by her second husband, James C. Sharp, and her parents. Surviving members of her family are her sons and daughters in law, Nathan and Joyce Little of Monroe, Steve and Connie Little of Monroe, grandchildren and their spouses, Kelly and Andy McLendon of Atlanta, and David and Rachael Little of Mt. Airy, Georgia, great granddaughter, Lauren McLendon, brother, Kenneth Richardson of Eatonton, Georgia, sister in law, Beatrice Shoemaker of Alexandria, Virginia; niece, Elaine Buckles of Ackworth, Georgia, and friend and caregiver, Sherry Chandler of Monroe.
The family received friends on Monday, February 26, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Meadows Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 27, at 2:00 pm at Union Chapel United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Flowers are welcomed, or memorials in her memory may be made to Union Chapel United Methodist Church Building Fund, 2625 Pannell Road, Monroe, GA 30655.
