Peggy Ann (Myers) Henderson passed away on July 2, 2018 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following complications from surgery after a fall in her home. Mrs. Henderson was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Kenneth Henderson; her mother and father, Hoyt and Ozella Myers; brother, Sammy Myers; grandson, Benji West; and daughter, Michelle Henderson Davis. Mrs. Henderson is survived by her son, James Henderson and wife Linda; daughter, Sonja West and husband Kenny; son in law, Kenny Davis; grandchildren, Tyler Davis and Crystal Vaughan; and great grandchildren, Brittany and Kaylee West, Tanner White and Isaac Vaughan.

Mrs. Henderson was a native of Loganville, Ga and commemorated her 1952 graduation each year with a lunch with her fellow Red Elephants. Peggy was a long-time associate at Rich’s department store and later retired with 20 years service from First Union Bank. She was a former member of Glenwood Baptist Church and Redan Baptist Church, and a current member of New Bridge Baptist in Gainesville, GA.

“MeMe” loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed seeing their photos on Facebook. She was an extraordinary cook – famous for her pound cakes and especially her annual Thanksgiving feast. She loved dressing up and always looked her best when going out, even if it was to another doctor appointment. It was often hard to tell she was sick because she looked so good!

More than anything, she was a fantastic mother. All three of her children knew, without doubt, that they were always loved and that Mom would support them in every possible way. She was proud of each one and loved to tell others about her “kids”. Her legacy is the love and precious memories that live on in each of her loved ones.
