Obituary: Paul David Morris, 65, of Monroe

Paul David Morris, age 65 of Monroe, passed away on Wednesday, September 23, 2020. Mr. Morris was a forklift driver and warehouseman for much of his working life. He was also a talented singer in numerous rock & roll bands through the years, including Secretz (based in the Atlanta area and in Los Angeles), Lorelei (in the Atlanta area), and Behind the Mask (in the Atlanta area). David, as he preferred to be called, was usually the lead singer and played the harmonica as well. Later in his life he tried his hand at karaoke. Always an entertainer, he would still put on a rocking show. David was an avid sports fan, always cheering for (and often cussing) his Atlanta Falcons, Georgia Bulldogs, and Atlanta Braves. David was also an animal lover and had many rescue dogs and cats through the years. He also had a love for wolves. David was preceded in death by his parents, George Raymond and Dorothy Mae Wilkinson Morris, and his brother Larry Joe Morris. He is survived by his wife, Lisa Morris, Monroe, GA; half-brother, Bill Naylor, Chattanooga, TN; half-sister, Betty Lyons, Marietta, GA; nephew, Larry Morris, Woodstock, GA; and half-niece, Heather Natt, Cumming, GA.
