Gabe Johnson, the 2017 Monroe Area High School graduate who was critically injured in an accident in Morgan County last week, succumbed to his injuries. His sister posted the sad update Tuesday on the Facebook Group page that had been formed to pray for his healing.
My family is very heavy and broken, we will forever miss gabe and truly have him in our hearts. Gabe passed away today June 4th at 4:15pm 2019 at 20 years old. You were such a beautiful soul inside and out Gabe Johnson I love you so much my heart is broken into a million pieces I’m numb. Keep my parents Tracy Morris Johnson and Kenny Johnson and my younger brother Bryce Johnson in your prayers for comfort and peace. We know gabe is in a better place and God is taking such good care of my brother. We do not know funeral arrangements yet.thank you for everyone who loved gabe and who was a friend to him he will cherish those memories in heaven watching over everyone.❤

Monroe resident and 2017 graduate of Monroe Area High School, Gabe Johnson, 20, was critically injured in a 3-vehicle wreck early this morning. According to the Eatonton Messenger, the wreck happened in Putnam County, about a mile south of the Morgan County Line and resulted in Johnson suffering critical injuries. He was flown to Naviscent Health Medical Center in Macon.
The family and friends of Johnson are asking for the community to join in a prayer chain to pray for a positive outcome.
