Social Circle councilman boosts community spirit during COVID-19 furlough

Social Circle Councilman Tyson Jackson is not letting his COVID-19 furlough from work get in the way of his community spirit. In fact, he is using it to help feed his community spirit, and his community, literally.

Jackson purchased the food supplies and set up to offer free hot dogs to neighborhoods in his Social Circle community this week.

“I’m planning on doing it as long as I’m out of work,” he said. He began Tuesday on Holly Street and then moved to Dove Landing.

“I was blessed with a donation from My pastor Derrick Malcom to do it again so I will be at the village mart on Cannon Dr on Tuesday, June 9th at 12 noon until about 2 then I will try to service another area about 5 pm or so,” Jackson said, adding “It’s a blessing to have a wonderful Pastor.”
