Gwinnett Police are actively working a similar case in Dacula that reportedly happened on May 9 involving a younger suspect driving pickup truck with flashing lights. In that case, a man claiming to be a “cop” allegedly tried to pull over two teenage girls in their vehicle as the were driving home from school. He, however, was in a pickup truck and was described as a heavy set white male, between 20 and 30 years of age, brown shaggy hair with no facial hair, light blue eyes, tattoo on the inside of his upper left arm, southern accent. He was wearing a light blue shirt and tan shorts with a knife case on his belt.
Detectives in Gwinnett are still actively working that case and are looking for additional witnesses or possible victims. If anyone has any information or explanation of these events they should call lead Detective Dorminy directly at 770-513-5345.
