MANY WAYS YOU CAN HELP YOUR LOCAL COMMUNITY ARTS CENTER …
Contact Hope email@example.com or 770-207-8937 … or attend our Volunteer Orientation on November 2 at 1:00 if you’d like more information about how you can support local arts in Walton County!BOARD POSITIONS OPEN
We have three Chairs open (events, membership and fund-raising) as of January 1 on our Board of Directors. Our board is a working board and each board position has its own committee and responsibilities to oversee. We have an interview process and orientation documents so you can have a clear understanding of what our expectations are if you are approved onto the Board. You don’t have to be an artist to serve — just a love for this place, agreement with our mission and the time & commitment to serve for a minimum of two years. You’ll make new friends and be a part of a great team of creative, caring people! Our #1 need — Fund-raising Chair: building relationships and seeking out partnerships with local businesses and individuals to sponsor our shows; and other donation/support opportunities for MWCA. Help is needed in a big way to seek out community support for Walton County’s only non-profit community arts centerHOME TOUR VOLUNTEERS
We will also need volunteers to act as docents at the homes and to help out here at the Center on Dec. 14. Can you help for 2 – 4 hours? Email me please!
SPECIAL NEEDS AND KIDS CLASS ASSISTANTS
If you are available and interested to help during our SN classes (day time) or kids’ classes (afternoons and Saturdays) let me know. You’re not committed to anything but will be placed on a list of potential helpers. We really need more help as right now we only have 2 or 3 reliable volunteers. 🙁
SATURDAY SOIREE GREETERS
These are a big hit and we need greeters and all-around helpers on these days. The next one is NOVEMBER 9.
We also need chili makers for our Saturday Soiree on November 9. If you’d like to enter our Chili Cookoff please let me know ASAP. We’ll vote on favorites in various categories with a much-coveted FIRST ANNUAL – and totally impressive – CHILI COOKOFF TROPHY. We will feed dozens of hungry guests as a fundraiser for the Center as we have with our BBQ fundraisers in our past months’ Soirees. We need at least 10 cooks to bring in one crockpot each of their best Chili! JOIN THE FUN!
