Traffic Shift on SR 10/US 78 at SR 124 begins May 1

SNELLVILLE, Ga.,– On Wednesday, May 1, at 9 a.m. construction crews with the Georgia DOT will begin implementing a traffic shift on State Route 10/US 78 (SR10/US78) and State Route 124 (SR 124)

  • Traffic on State Route 10/US 78 westbound will be moved to the newly constructed lanes.
  • Traffic on State Route 10/US 78 eastbound will remain in the current lanes.

This shift will facilitate the continued construction of the Displaced Left Turn (DLT) at the intersection of SR 10/US 78 and SR 124. This DLT is the second one statewide, and was awarded to Pittman Construction Co. in June of 2017 and has a scheduled completion date of August 31, 2019
