Two Loganville residents seriously injured in separate motorcycle accidents Thursday

Georgia State Patrol confirms that two Loganville residents were seriously injured in two separate motorcycle accidents in Walton County yesterday, Dec. 5, 2019.
According to reports, the first one happened at about 3:29 p.m. and involved a dirt bike operated by Christian Quattlebahm of Loganville when he was traveling from State Route 10 onto Lee Peters Road.
“A Honda Accord was attempting to turn left into a gas station from Lee Peters Road. The dirt bike, an unauthorized for Roadway vehicle, was struck with the front bumper of the Honda,” said Cpl. Ian Moreman with GSP.  Quattlebaum was transported to Gwinnett Medical Center with significant injuries.
The second accident happened a couple of hours later at 5:47 p.m.
“A sports utility vehicle operated by Linda Lacey of Loganville was traveling west on State Route 138 near Rowe Road. A motorcycle operated by Sonia Briscoe of Loganville was stopped in the left lane waiting for traffic to turn left at Frisco Road. The SUV operated by Lacy made an improper lane change and the front left corner of the SUV struck the rear corner of the motorcycle,” Moreman said. “Briscoe was transported to Piedmont Walton with suspected serious injuries.”
No details on possible charges were given at this time. GSP worked both accidents.
