It was a mixed bag again for local high school Varsity football teams last week with Monroe and Social Circle managing to get a win in their second non-conference games of the season. Walnut Grove is still looking for a win and Victory Baptist is looking to get back on track this week after it had its winning streak interrupted last week.

Monroe is back at home Sept. 18 where it will face Morgan County.
Walnut Grove will travel to Social Circle Sept. 18 where it will be looking for its first win of the season against Social Circle. The Redskins are coming off a 31-28 win Friday against Providence Christian Academy on PCA’s home turf.
George Walton Academy is back on the road Friday when it will travel to Dacula to take on the Hebron Christian Academy Lions in a non-conference game.
The Loganville Christian Academy Lions had a bye last week. The team travels to Atlanta on Sept. 18 to take on Holy Innocents’ Episcopal. Loganville also took a break after beating rivals Monroe Area in the season opener on Hurricane Field on Sept. 4. The Red Devils return to their home field this week to take on Forsyth Central.
The Victory Baptist Warriors are at home Sept. 18 where the team will face New Creation Christian Academy.
