Update: Alleged burglar who cooked and napped at Taco Bell identified as former employee


There was a reason why the alleged burglar who cooked, ate and then took a nap knew his way around the Taco Bell restaurant he is accused of burglarizing. He worked there at one time. Gwinnett County Police Department report that the lead detective has identified him as a former employee, Stephaun Gallaread, 26. He reportedly worked there last summer. Gallaread is charged with one count of second-degree burglary. He is not yet in custody but is urged to turn himself in.

Lawrenceville, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Burglary Unit is seeking the public’s help in identifying a man who prepared food and napped during a burglary at a local fast-food restaurant on Christmas morning.

According to a press release from Gwinnett County Police Department, at about 12:15 a. on Dec. 25, 2019, a man entered the Taco Bell at 4880 Sugarloaf Parkway in unincorporated Lawrenceville through the drive-thru window. He is subsequently seen on surveillance using the fryer to make himself a meal and then eating it before taking a nap on the restaurant floor. He leaves about three hours later after allegedly stealing a laptop and a tablet.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black sweat pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black sneakers.
