Update: Suspect in rash of strong arm robberies arrested

Update

Walton County Sheriff’s Office reports that Moses Jerome Tidwell, the suspect in this and four other separate strong arms robberies spread out over Loganville, Monroe, Covington, Athens and Rockdale, including the one in Dollar General on Sunday, was arrested last night. Tidwell was arrested on Green Street by Monroe Police Department and WCSO.

Please note an arrest or charge does not constitution a conviction.

Initial Story

Loganville Police Department officers responded to reports of a robbery at 1:30 p.m. today at Walgreen’s at 4398 Atlanta Highway.

“According to reports, a black male jumped the counter and took money from the drawer. The suspect then ran out of the store and got into a white pickup truck that made it’s way down Main Street toward Lawrenceville Road,” said Robbie Schwartz, spokesman for the City of Loganville. “There is no information available at the moment on the make or model of the truck nor the license tag number.”

Schwartz said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident. The case remains an open investigation. No additional information is available at this time. We are checking to see if the suspect was armed at the time.
