Walton County schools are back in session and Friday football game night returns

All of Walton County’s High Schools will take to the field Sept. 4 to face an opponent in the kick-off to the Georgia High School Football Season.

The annual rivalry opening game between the Loganville High School Red Devils and the Purple Hurricanes is at Monroe Area High School this year with kickoff scheduled at Hurricane Field at 7:30 p.m.

Loganville Christian Academy takes on Providence Christian Academy at home. Kickoff is at 7.30 p.m.

Social Circle High School travels to George Walton Academy for the first game of the season. Kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Walnut Grove Grove travels to Douglasville to take on New Manchester High School. Again, kickoff is at 7:30 p.m.

Things will be a little different under the lights this season with COVID-19 safety measures in place. Walton County Public Schools put out the following information for spectators cheering on their teams.

Please review this important information regarding the 2020-21 football season. We are excited to cheer on our Hurricanes, Red Devils and Warriors, but we need your support and cooperation to keep everyone safe this season! Please note that masks are strongly encouraged, social distancing is expected and spectators will not be permitted to enter the field before, during or after games.
