The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported the following Crime Awareness Community Alerts for the period Friday, July 31 – Sunday to Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020.
Friday, July 31, 2020
Arrest- A 54-year-old Monroe man was arrested at a residence on Stock Gap Road for Battery and Criminal Damage to Property in the 2nd Degree following a dispute.
Saturday, August 1, 2020
Arrest- A 38-year-old New York man was arrested in the area of Highway 11 and Mahlon Smith Road for Fleeing to Elude, Reckless Driving, Driving While License Suspended, and Speeding following a vehicle pursuit that originated on Highway 81 in Walnut Grove.
Burglary- Deputies took a report at a business on Highway 78, ACR Auto Repair, in reference to complainant reporting an individual took numerous items from the business sometime between July 29th and August 1st.

Damage to Property- Deputies took a report at a residence on Youth Jersey Road in reference to complainant reporting an unknown individual damaged the complainant’s fence sometime between July 31st and August 2nd.
Arrest- A 39-year-old Hoeschton man was arrested in the area of Highway 138 near Woodlake Baptist Church for Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Heroin, and Possession of Zolpidem following a traffic stop.
Burglary- Deputies responded to a business on Highway 81, the Shell Gas Station, in reference to a burglary where and unknown individual gained forced entry into the business. Deputies cleared the business and numerous items appeared to have been taken. Walton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division are investigating the incident.
Agency Assist- Deputies assisted Georgia State Patrol in the area of Mount Vernon Road and Snows Mill Road in reference to a vehicle pursuit that originated on Highway 83 and went to 441 in Bishop. GSP pitted the vehicle and 2 suspects were arrested.
